Yes. It's $350. I'm hoping it will still come in under $600 with the alterations.
I spent $550 before alterations (convert zipper to corset=$150, bustle and taking in 2 seams, $100). Included with that $550 was $150 worth of credit towards accessory, so I ended up paying $40 for my cathedral-length mantilla (retails for over $300!!), and all free shipping.
Yep...got a deal and the dress ended up being 50% off -- $575 with FREE alterations
Oh! Please post what you bought or where you bought them! I would LOVE to find a dress under $600!
$499 before alterations... and $30 in alterations! $529 total!
David's Bridal!
My dress was $480 including taxes but excluding alternations. I got it a David's Bridal.
Yes, my dress was $300. I found it on Craigslist. A Bridal Shop was clearing out inventory. I had previously found it in a Boutique for almost $1000 (on sale). My alterations will be about $120.
I bought my maggie sottero gown off ebay for $425 including shipping!
I haven't purchased it yet, but the store I tried the dress on in California was selling it for $575. I got in touch with stores here in NYC and the lowest quote I have so far is $450.
The line is Venus bridal, and my next step is calling around the vendors who sell it in my area and getting prices. Seems pretty reasonable though.
Mine was $412 including crinoline and tax from Brides Against Breast Cancer.
Alterations were free, thanks to the talented ladies in the wardrobe department of the show I was working on at the time.
Me! $67 at a vintage store. Though I'll probably need to spend around another $100 to replace some of the lace.
It's not finished yet, but mine was $180. I WIN! :) Well, not quite. Hah!
I paid $250 (plus$25 shipping) for my Maggie off preownedweddingdresses.com. It was a sample dress that hadn't been worn. :-)
I just couldn't justify spending $700 for a dress that I couldn't even try on in my size and that wasn't returnable. I had tried on a few of similar style and I love my dress!
I paid $100 for mine, NWT, from eBay! It is a Nataya dress.
Didn't know when I tried it on but my dress was a $99 DB special. They didn't have my size in stock so the sales lady called & found it at another store (they can do that, btw), I bought it via phone & paid $25 for 2 day shipping.
The alterations came to $225 for hemming, taking in & bustle.
I love the dress, it now fits perfectly & I feel like I scored.
About $335, plus $100 for the veil, $40 for shoes and about $25 for accessories. So, about $500 for the whole shebang!
I got mine custom made and it was $185, don't have the pic on this computer, but I've posted it on this site before :)
I got my dress brand new with tags at goodwill for $66!!! I had already purchased a Lazaro, but plan on selling it in the spring, because the one for $66 is perfect!!!
I bought a barely worn sample dress for $675, tax included. It was discontinued, but when it was being produced, it was almost $1500.
@ten.ten.ten- that is INCREDIBLE! Well done you! What does it look like?
I am getting an organza ballgown with corset back. Mine will be $300 plus $100 for alterations. I am adding layers of tulle to the bottom layers of skirt for some fluff. Luckily I know a seamstress. I also need a crinoline and will spend $20 to $50
Total= $450
But I am also spening $200 on undergarments.
Total = $650
and $100 on shoes $100 for the veil
Grand total =$850
Mine was $590 and then a 20% discount for a sale they were having for ordering a dress so it was $472 with tax & shipping $525. It is Mori Lee Blu Collection #4707. I live in Florida but bought my dress in Fort Wayne Indiana when I went up there for vacation.
I got my wedding dress, J Crew Sabine, brand new with tags for $350 from www.oncewed.com
Dress is originally $695 + shipping.
I spent $500 on a $3,000 pronovias dress...
Gotta love samples!!!! Mine was also a discontinued dress, it was an AWESOME deal!
Mine was under $600 with tax. If I wear heals it will need no alterations.
I got my Alfred Angleo 1153 for $589 plus a free $200 veil was included. I bought it from someone on Ebay. Brand new, tags attached, never altered! I was so lucky! I know my wedding is 2 years away but it was the dress I wanted so I took a chance and it is the perfect dress for me!! No pics of it tho! I didn't want to take any yet! lol
Mine wasn't technically a wedding dress, but it was a formal white dress that was $200, marked down to $76. I hate spending money more than anything (especially on a one day event) so I told myself I would buy a short white sundress before shelling out over $150 for a dress. This met my criteria!
