Hi :)
Sorry to hear about your anxiety - it's not very nice and when it comes on with little warning, it can be scary.
Perhaps you could get some "Rescue Remedy" or similar? It's great for calming you down (I swear by it!)
I also think that sittling quietly by yourself and taking deep breaths works wonders. Failing that, distraction helps a lot - phone a friend, go for a walk or have some retail therapy!!!

good advice: i'll try to remember those. this was at bedtime so i'll do the breathing if it happens again there....
hey im there with you. and for me i know it gets worst. i had them when we bought the house. but now i have some magical pills to take thanks to my doctor. but i also drink tea. it helps me alot
Rescue Remedy is awesome, I agree! I also take OrthoAdapt, an herbal anti-anxiety pill my naturopath recommended me. Peppermint tea twice a day (or peppermint oil pills) if you have stomach issues like me is also great and helps to reduce anxiety. I swear by my naturopath for handling this stuff. My doctor didn't have a clue other than prescribing me stuff that made me too stoned to function.
My wedding is less than four weeks away and I have not felt nervous at all UNTIL my shower yesterday. I don't know what happened but I left with a killer headache and the worst anxiety. It hit me all at once and I felt like, 'I can't do this - I will never make it through this - how do people do it' and thinking about the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, morning of, getting ready, walking down the aisle, dancing in front of everyone, etc... was WAY too much for me!
Needless to say it wasn't the best night - I still feel shaky this morning, but am trying to put everything in perspective. I pray and pray that I will be able to enjoy my day and not be suffering with anxiety.
I get hives now. Wake up with huge un even lips, especially on the nights I fall asleep reading WB! Im currently on a few meds for it now.

Wedding's in about 3 and a half months, and for the first time during the engagement I got a teeny tiny tight chest feeling for a few minutes last night (the kind you get when you start to have an anxiety attack) as I laid in bed thinking wedding, wedding, wedding!!! Only a few months away!!! Then it went away quick.
Then I started thinking about what I'll be like as the time gets closer. Will I be blowing in and out of paper bags? :)
Just venting a little.
