We're trying to decide on hotels for our honeymoon.  I think for the Napa/Sonoma part we've narrowed it down to either the Westin or Avia in Napa.

Have you ever stayed at an AVIA hotel, especially the one in Napa?  What did you think?  Some of the reviews I've read say that the rooms can be small and the service is hit or miss, but there's plenty of great raving reviews too.  Hopefully someone out there can help!

I've stayed in an Avia in Savannah and we LOVED IT! the rooms were big and the bathroom was awesome. They had a restuarant and piano bar, which we loved. They had a breakfast buffet, amazing and a terrace pool and a gym. Right in the middle of hisctoric downtown, great service and staff.

We actually stayed at the Avia in Napa for our mini-moon. I did not think the rooms were too small, it was actually really nice to have a little separate sitting area and then the bed area, plus the fireplace and the soaking tub were also really nice.  The service I found very good, although they were having an event that weekend an couldn't upgrade us, bummer.  Also, the concierge there was AMAZING!  Her name is Maria, and without her we would have missed out on some of the best parts of our trip.  It was kind of fun to be in the actual town of Napa and we went out a little bit to some of the bars which was also fun, but it is definitely a different feel than staying at a vineyard, B&B, that sort of thing, but if you are looking at hotels anyway, I would strongly suggest the Avia, we were very happy.  Let me know if you need any other information!
