Unfortunately I’m up even though I need to be awake at 6am. I have trouble sleeping. I’m laying in bed watching Wolverine. People said it was good but it sucks to me. Lol

Listening to our dogs snore, and refreshing my Facebook feed every 5 seconds hoping to bore myself to sleep. 🙂 haha

kaylee26: I’m awake! Too much excitement (exhaustion too) from cleaning and unpacking and organizing my new house. I love my husband but he’s definitely been living as a bachelor the last year and a half!

In addition to extra energy, I am awake because DH is gone till next Sunday and I am not used to sleeping alone anymore since we’ve been sharing a bed for almost a month now!

I’m eating macaroni salad because apparently frozen yogurt wasn’t the smartest dinner choice 😛

Also looking up wedding venues. Whyyyy does this place charge $50/pp for a wedding, and $30/pp for a “banquet”??

kaylee26: Now I’m thinking this mac salad went bad and I’m quitting while I’m ahead! lol

I’ve only been engaged for a week today, but I reserved my fiance’s church for 6/27/15. We have the option to use the church hall too, but I thought I should at least look at some venues where alcohol is allowed!

It’s all so overwhelming! Where was your wedding?

Kelani23: I am amazed at how much these venues want for a reception! Plus food minimums (I’m hoping to have a very small 50-person guest list…), plus alcohol cost is so outrageous….I’d much rather just tell my friends and family to meet us at the bar.

AprilinTX: I’m really looking for a “budget” sort of place 🙁 My guest list right now is at 100 + 9 kids, but 80% have to travel, so it will probably be around the same size as yours! Hard to plan around half the guests saying no though!! I think in that situation I def can’t guarantee any minimum!

My sister didn’t meet her 120 minimum, so they added apps or dessert or something.

Her budget was much much higher than mine though.

I’m up. Trying to convince myself that I’m not hungry, just bored.

I am just going to say that while I’m excited about potentially getting engaged, the whole venue thing intimidates the heck outta me.

Kelani23: Me too! We are funding this 100% ourselves, and just bought a house. Also, we live in TX, but are getting married in VA (my hometown) and his family is in IA….I have 30 people on my guest list side, and he has…..like 20, but is pretty much banking on all but 10 not being able to travel. It is VERY hard to plan, since he keeps saying “don’t limit your list just because my family may not attend!” …..so…..the max number keeps going up and down…. *sorry, vent over*

We are in the very beginning planning stages….
