We’re debating taking the prenatal prep course (which will go through stages of labor, breathing, etc. and include a tour and a prenatal breastfeeding class). They have some weekend options…the weeknight ones would be really tough for us scheduling-wise.
And then the nurse I spoke with suggested the online course (which will also include an in-person hospital tour and bf class)…
Anyone have experience with this? Not sure if the online course would be worth it…or, perhaps more worthwhile because we’d be getting the same info but saving time?

@babycakes24: We will be doing the same thing but in person (on the weekend since we can’t do the weeknight ones since we have to travel 75 miles to participate), so I don’t have any advice really of the class portion of it taking it online. I am not sure that I would personally do it. I kind of want to experience it in person rather than an online video.

My sis in law and her husband did one, I think they felt it was worth it? Honestly if you guys feel unsure about things and want a tutorial and this is as close as you can get, I say go for it.

I would normally go for the in-person class, but am not sure if it will work with our schedules…and they want you to be done by 35 weeks (in the event you deliver early). Lots to think about!

I am doing on line classes since we can’t make the in person times/dates at all and I am so busy 2am might be it. The local place here has them and it’s the same as the in person one; talking over a powepoint and it’s a little cheaper too. Here’s the place I am using http://center4cby.com/childbirth-preparation-online the 1st course is free which might be worth it to feel it all out. I think I will be taking the birthing pain ones, infant 101 and BF.
