I’m on the same thing and my periods have gotten extremely light (not QUITE that light but very short and light) although there is sometimes a month where it’s mostly normal.

@FutureMrsM87:  I haven’t, but you can talk to your doctor.  I’ve been told that that’s really common for women heading on their honeymoons and such so I’m sure it’s fine.  I’d talk to your doctor though!

YES!!!! Actually 9 months before my wedding I missed my period. I was FREAKING out thinking I would have to push up the wedding. I was on the 1.5/30 as well, or at least I thought I was. The pharmacy switched my dosage to the 1/20 without telling me. My GYN was furious! She told me that brand was known for skipping periods, she put me back onto 1.5/30 as its a little stronger and I’ve had some extremely light peiods, but so far no skips. However, it can happen and its been known to do that (don’t you wish they would tell you these things?)

@FutureMrsM87:  Yup! I either miss periods on it or they last 1-2 days tops.

Yup! I’ve been on a Loestrin generic (Junel, Gildess, Microgestin, etc) for 5 years and haven’t gotten my period in almost that long. I have had many doctors reassure me that this is totally normal and not an issue. I am good about taking it and understand how BC works, so I have never been worried I was pregnant. I have been a bit concerned of what it may mean for getting my period when I go off the pill, but again every doctor says it is not a predictor. I will probably be going off it in the near future (like 6 months future), so I guess I will find out!

Yep! I was on Junel for about 2 years and have been on a generic for it, Microgestin, for the past year and I rarely get periods. Maybe 2 a year, and they are extremely light. I sort of miss the “phew I’m not preggers!” feeling every month but not having periods (while not being pregnant) is pretty much the dream!

I was so happy to come across this! I have always gotten very light periods but now being on junel I completely miss them most months. I was scared I was going into menopause at 33!

I take the same pill and have also missed periods, some have been super light and others super long, i have been taking it for 6/7months and still not regulated. Also i do always skip the placebo pills… So maybe is because of that?? I’m not sure…

Also has anyone experience breakouts? I have and also i feel my hormones completly Crazy!

FutureMrsM87 :  I can’t really speak for certain on skipping periods, because I have PCOS so I always just figure I skip because of that. Its happened with every pill I’ve ever been on.

I do have extremely light periods, though. Like 3 days tops and I only use 2 tampons on my heaviest days. It completely ruined my sex drive…it’s basically non-existent. I can’t switch it though because it’s the only one that’s really worked for me so far, and I do like the other benefits I’ve gotten from it (better skin, less bloating on non-period days). Poor DH!

All that said, I have gone off it before (briefly) and went back to “normal” relatively quickly.
