Does anyone else having a problem finding boots that fit your calf. I’m having a hard time finding cute boots that fit my calfs comfortably. I find some but I can’t even put my jeans in the boots. Anyone find cute boots. My foot is actually average size 7 and not wide but my calfs screw it all up

I have wide calfs and my Justin boots fit great!

I have never owned a pair of fancy cowboy boots, I wear them more utilitarian. I own some Justins, Tony Lamas, Ariats (my faves), Dingos, Larados, and a few more brands. I have thick cheer calfs and don’t recall ever having that issue. Maybe check out a Sheplers, they carry a huge selection and you should be able to find something there.

I’m assuming that these aren’t for actually wearing around a farm, so I’m not sure if this will help at all because I only really wear them around when I go horse riding, so they might not look as dressy as what you want. I love Ariats. I will often wear baggy track pants when I’m riding and there’s plenty of room for me to tuck in baggy track pants. Too much room, in fact. My track pants will often slide back out, and I was caught in a storm once and my boots filled up with water because there’s a big gap between my leg and the boot :/
They can be pretty expensive, but they are really good quality and will last for a long time.

Ariats are awesome. Also, if you have a wide calf, you should probably stick to the boots that don’t come up as high. My regular dressy cowgirl boots are 13″ calf but I know that my boots that don’t come up that high are a lot roomier in the calf. I can’t tuck pants into the 13″ calf at all, but I can with 10″ or 11″ boots.
If you’re going for style, you should look for the kind of boots that aren’t made out of such stiff leather…I can’t help you with finding any because I don’t really go for the stylish cowgirl boots 🙁 but I know that those boots do have a lot more room for tucking your jeans into them.

Definitely look into boots with shorter uppers/shaft (the leather from the ankle seam to the top) than you have now. I wear 10″ uppers because 12″ ones feel like they get stuck.
Laredo also has some 10″ uppers. I’m not much help with the brands, my first really good pair of boots was unbranded at a flea market type place in the Blue Ridge mountains somewhere 15ish years ago. The newer ones (2 years old?) were Laredo on half price at a store closing sale! Yay!
Justin Boots makes 10″, though I had to argue with their sales people and show them in their own catalog when I was looking there, but they didn’t really have anything I wanted style wise. They had plenty of fancy boots though.

I got mine from Wild Bill’s in Dallas when I went to America (I’m from Australia!). All I wanted was a legit pair of cowboy boots, and I LOVE them! It took A LOT of trying on different styles (and Wild Bill’s had HEAPS). I didn’t really have an issue with calves (I have muscular skater calves!), more so getting the right fit across my foot and the right movement in the heel. If you’re ever in Dallas, check out the shop – the guys there were really helpful, and there is hundreds of styles to choose from!

Also – mine are a Durango brand and come up about mid calf – they’re kind of like a slouch boot style.
