Commenting to follow.  A family friend is selling it and keeps raving….but I’d like to see if anyone (who isn’t selling it, lol) has liked it.

I’m commenting to follow as well – I have extensions, and I just love how low-maintenance they are and that I don’t have to deal with raccoon eyes and makeup remover.. but I don’t love the price tag, so I’m interested to see what people think of the fiber lashes!

There’s a similar type of mascara at Sephora–was it Better Than Sex? I can’t remember–where you applied a base coat of weird white fibres and then the mascara on top. I so much wanted to get the awesome results I had heard about, but it literally just gave me hairy white eyelashes that wouldn’t look normally no matter how much I tried.

I already have a pretty good mascara routine, though, so maybe I was just expecting too much, but it definitely wasn’t worth it for me.

The mascara can be nice if you apply it right. I have tried cherry bloom mascara which is the same as younique, I also do eyelash extensions. The mascara if applied right can look nice but it does take a bit of time (more time than putting on regular mascara) if you wear extensions beca use you don’t like to put on mascara than you won’t like this product.   I do not think the mascara looks natural, it can be clumpy looking and the fibers fall on your face through out the day.   A younique rep will probably disagree with, but that is because they are pushy sales people who have never been in the beauty industy.

I’ve used the Two Faced Better Than False Lashes and while it did make my lashes look pretty good, it was a pain in the ass to apply. I don’t do 10 minute mascara applications, lol.

I’ve tried a 3D fiber mascara from sephora, it gives you super long and thick lashes, but if you have sensitive eyes, you should avoid. The “fibers” kept brushing my eyes at the lashline and it made my eyes all red by the end of the day.

I used the FiberWig mascara and it was AMAZING. But, I wear contacts and the little fibers would get into my eyes and irritate so it didn’t work. I now use Tirsh McEvoy mascara, which is also sebum proof but no little fibers. So, it looks good and it doesn’t rub off.

Lily_of_the_valley:  I’m lash obsessed and prefer the middle ground between extensions and finer mascara — lash growth serum.

Most like Latisse or the ones that are just supposed to make your lashes full did not work for me. I use one called NutraLuxe MD that I purchase from my salon/spa, and it’s made my lashes very long. I used it for 6 months to get super long lashes but my mom told me I was looking like I had spider lashes (gotta love her honesty) so now I use it twice a week for maintenance.

Where do you live?

I live in Canada and have nowhere else to get my serum, so I pay $120+tax at my spa. I found it on Amazon for waaaaay cheaper, but they don’t ship the product internationally. If you live in the US, here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/Nutra-Luxe-Beauty-Eyelash-Conditioner/dp/B001WAKUTS

It seems like a lot to spend but one tube lasts 3+ months. You use VERY little. I initially double dipped the brush and had bloodshot eyes while using it. Once I started to single dip the brush and use it one both eyes very sparingly, my skin/eyes stopped showing sensitivity. I’m on tube #2 now and it’ll probably last me 6 months since I don’t use it every day anymore. I’ve saved so much money on mascara! No more $30 mascaras – I just buy drug store cheapies, like whatever is on sale.

There are also lots of reviews on Amazon, and googling the product brings up before/after pictures on Google.

I’ve recently started using a serum as well, Grande Lash MD.  I was talking with a girl that I work with one day and I couldn’t concentrate on the conversation and just blurted out “do you have fake lashes on?”  She laughed and told me it was the Grande Lash MD serum and mascara.  I’ve been using it since.  It’s been about 2 weeks and I already see a huge difference in my lashes.  I have about a month before my wedding and I have super high hopes that I won’t have to use fake lashes.  The really annoy me and I don’t wear them well.

I have blonde hair so I still need to use mascara, but they are really long compared to how long they were 2 weeks ago.

I bought the 3D Fiber Lashes from Younique and i loved it sooooo much that i started selling it. It is definately worth the price. I wouldnt normally spend that much on a mascara but i used to use the Benefit Theyre Real and this is about 928302238 times better. Now when i try to wear just regular mascara i feel naked lol. If anyone is interested in trying it please feel free to contact me. I wouldnt promote a product if i thought it wasnt great (and i freely admit when some of our products arent the best you can get) but it is definately worth it. I dont want to get in trouble for spamming or anything 🙁
