(Closed) Anyone tried Jillian Michaels “Making the Cut”

@gb4: I have used many of the workouts from Making the Cut and have followed the general eating guidelines but I have not followed the program to the letter.

The workout will kick your butt.  They are intelligently designed and very effective. You do need a decent level of fitness to start though.  

You should give the program a try. Even if you don’t stick to it 100%, if you do the workouts often and eat sensibly, it should be effective.

@gb4: Hey, I did Making the cut about two years ago. Not for my wedding as that is in august of this year. But, anyways. I def got amazing results. I somewhat followed the food guide (didnt eat the swardfish, and subbed in things that I liked on the menu on other days) and did the workouts religiously for the 30 days. I lost about 15 pounds in one month! It was amazing. I love that book and often lend it to friends and family. I have recently gained the weight back (an am working on losing it for my WD)  But when I first did it I weighed about 160 and went to 145ish. Then I joined Sparkpeople and lost another 10lbs over 3 months. *sigh* I looked good! Just gotta get back there. Im thinkin of doing the 30 Day Shred (which I have also done before and toned up really well) so I am going to start that again. I did Making the cut again last year and lost about 5 lbs (145-140)

* However I will say that it depends on how much wieght you want to lose. Jillian Micheals says that MTC is best if you want to lose 10-30lbs. If you want to lose more than that she reccommends starting with her other book Bannish Fat Boost Matabolism if you have more to lose that 30lbs. Then you can move to MTC.

@gb4:oh and really stick to the 1000mg sodium limit. Sodium is the biggest bloat causer! oh and if you like this and finish it I reccommend her 30 Day Shred!

@gb4:Haha. Yeah I felt like I was going to be sick after the workouts for about a week. I really pushed myself. But I think it was a little masocistic of me cause I really felt like I was working hard. lol. Good luck! let me know how it goes!
