I tried the second one on, and several others like it. I’m about 5’8″ and a street size 8-10, and thought this style was “the one” when I started searching online… Until I tried it on. I wish I’d taken pictures, but my “up there and out there” -DDs paired with the high ball gown skirt did no do wonders for my torso. I think the second style would have been much better, in my case. If you have a very petite frame and a long torso, you could probably pull off either one.

Ask the stores of they have any Maggie Sottero dresses meanwhile, as she has some that are very similar.

    good luck!

So, then you probably do have a super slender frame that would be ideal for the ballgown. If so, def go for it! I so wish I could have! Maggie Sottero has some beautiful gowns around the $1-2k price range.  I wanted the whole “princess look” walking down the aisle, but I couldn’t find a single one that I loved on me.

Either way, I’d been obsessing so much over dresses, that it’s almost ruined the experience for me. So I finally found a dress that I hated online, but absolutely loved the overall fit and fabric of when I put it on, called it a day and figure I’ll invest in alterations/accessories to morph it ino something I adore. There are some things right off the bat that I don’t love about it, but i have faith in a great tailor. There’s a photo of the sample dress here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/need-help-customizing-my-dress#axzz2Zp9cEAMa
