hdaniele: if you have the money then isagenix works extremely well, but if you can’t afford it then I suggest you do atkins phase one and walk everyday for atleast 1 k. The first week is the toughest because you’ll detox from a lot …. Detoxing from sugar gives you headaches, nausea, dizziness. It’s worthodox it in the end and it’s not as hard as you think because you can be creative and make up many different recipes like I have. This has worked for me as I’ve already lost 2 inches off my hips and now am not stressed about my dress fitting 🙂 hope this helps

hdaniele: Hi there! I am Heather as well and also getting married in November! :)I am 5’9 and struggled with weight growing up. I used be around around 190 at my heaviest. I am now 140. I think it is fantastic you are choosing a healthier lifestyle and getting in shape for your wedding!
However, please do not take this negatively, but 50 pounds is NOT a healthy amount of weight to try and lose in 4 months, nor realistic. Even with an aggressive (HEALTHY!) diet and excercise plan, you should be losing max 1-2 lbs per week which puts you at about 25-30 lbs at most to lose by November. I think this is a much better, healthier and more realistic goal. I only say this because setting an unrealistic goal can actually make it harder to stick with it. Try and set smaller goals and reach them like milestones and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t crash or fad diet. Instead, make life-long changes to keep you happy and healthy.
I eat a vegetable-fruit smoothie every day for breakfast, eat a lot of fruit and veggies and lean protein (chicken, fish, beans). I also work out about 4-5 days a week. I do hot power yoga 3 days a week and try to gym twice a week, with some running and/or biking thrown in as well. It’s no joke trying to maintain! My body would gain back 5 pounds in a week if I didn’t excercise and ate bad :/
If you would like some help devising a diet/excercise plan I have helped many people lose weight and would welcome helping you! Some pointers = Use the myfitness pal app on your phone to figure out how many calories you should be eating a day for weight loss and track your calories, it truly is the best way to lose weight. Don’t just do cardio at the gym, doing a combination of cardio and strength training accelerates weight loss by burning more calories. Buy and pre-wash, cut and store healthy snacks and lunches 🙂 PM if you want some more help/info! Best of luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding twin 😉

Hi, I’m getting married in 10 weeks and ordered my dress one size smaller than the sample I tried on(mori lee 5108)and the aim was to go from 170lbs to 130lbs, so far I’ve lost 14lbs so still have 26lbs to lose…in 10 weeks, I’m really motivated as I pick my dress up in a couple weeks, just been doing the 5:2 diet, 5 days I eat ‘normally'(still have no more than about 1500 cals)& the other 2 days I eat no more than 500 calories per day, it’s great and doesn’t feel like a diet at all, I choose my low calorie days to coincide with work where I can’t eat much anyway, no gym or exercise(except walking a lot)& I lose around 3lbs per week. If I continue to lose even 2lbs per week over the next 10 weeks(although I’m sure I can lose more)I will pretty much get to goal of 130lbs. I personally think losing 50lbs in 4 months is definitely achievable with a loss of around 2.5lb per week, that’s sustainable and not unhealthy or excessive. You can do it!
ETA This isn’t a fad or crash diet, there are lots of heaqlth benefits associated with it, here’s some more info http://thefastdiet.co.uk/why-fast/ 🙂

hdaniele: my wedding has already passed (going on 1 year in 2 months) but I have gained some weight since the honeymoon and being married, so now I am trying to lose 40lbs. I have lost 10 so far.
I am currently using a FitBit, which is a glorified pedometer. It montiors how many steps you take in a day, the goal is to get you moving more through the day, it definitely helps me. There are other pedometers you can use. The one I use is compatible with the FitBit app and I monitor my weight (weekly) and what I am eating throughout the day. I can also log my gym activity and it lets me know how many calories I’ve burned and how many calories I can consume.
Its helpful for me because I think twice about eating sweets and bad carbs. I have cut out sugar completely out of my diet. I have one cheat day a week (Saturdays)

I’m trying to lose 30! It’s gonna be tough! I’ve already lost 33 but I’ve plateaued. I lost the first 33 by using Ideal Protein, it’s expensive and miserable but it definitely works.

hdaniele: I agree 50 in 4 month is unrealistic and dangerous!
I second the myfitness pal to track all the eating, cut on sugar wheat, all the refined stuff.
Lots of fruit and veg, salads, lean protein – chicken and fish. I am also having fruit/veg juice for breakfast/lunch. Whole grains like buckwheat, quinoa, brown rice, rye bread.
I have been exercising for 3 month and the weight stayed on. I started with a juicing diet and bang! Lost about 6 pounds in first 2 weeks, it levelled up at about 2 pounds a week. I had about 33 to lose so far lost about 11. Butr I am not losing for my wedding, I am losing for LIFE. I want to always look like I was designed – lean and strong not a result of my sitting at the computer too long and eating too much. eeek! That’s why i decide to kick my own backside.
Start walking!!!!! 30-50 min a day, 1km is for pansies! Check with your dr what excercise you are allowed to do – if you get all clear i recomment c25k and Jillian micheals body revolution ( it will be tough!)
You can do it. I dont know about 50, but you can get close!!!!
Best of luck!!

50 lbs in 4 months is a lot, but honestly not too far from where you could actually be in that time. Like the above posters said, 2 lbs/week is pretty decent, but that is just an average of what can be achieved while still remaining healthy in a sustainable manner. You could aim for 2 lbs/week from diet alone and an extra 1-1.5 lbs lost from exercise, so you’d be looking at 3-4.5 lbs/week, which would put you at or very near your goal. Just log your calories (and eat ENOUGH, it might sound backwards but you don’t want to hurt yourself or stall your metabolism), myfitnesspal is awesome for that, and exercise for at least an hour 5ish times a week and you should have no problem hitting your goal. You will need to be very dedicated in order to achieve those kinds of losses, but it is possible without crash dieting if you start now and work hard. Good luck!

A good way to lose weight healthily is to try out the paleo lifestyle. Add to this a vegetable and fruit juice everyday and a healthy amount of exercise. Another way of motivation is finding out what ingredients are in the things that we eat and learning about them. There is some great documentaries out there which I found to be really helpful.

I’d love to lose 55 lbs for my wedding! It’s in September 2015. It’s a good amount of time to lose the weight but I tend to lose slowly!

hdaniele: We’re in exactly the same boat! I started at 190lbs (down 5 already) and would like to get back to 135 ish. 125 is my ultimate goal but we’ll see. I am cutting out meat, dairy (all animal products really) and processed food. Then adding in as many fruits and veggies as possible. I started wearing my FitBit again. I totally recommend it! Since my daughter started school this week, we have been walking to and from school. I also made a weight loss goal poster thats hanging in our bedroom so as I lose weight I cross off each box. It’s a great way to keep on track b/c I always want to be able to cross off boxes, kind of like a count down! Good luck!
