Yes I have! I registered just so I could respond to this post. I was very skeptical but now I’m so happy I took the chance. The dress came out better than I could have ever expected, I measured myself 5 times before ordering. I have a large bust 34DDD and the hem under my bust is a bit high, but I really don’t mind cause everything else is so perfect. Mary was great with communication, always responded within a day or two. The dress arrived in exactly 6 weeks, you will have to email her for tracking info though, I did not get it until after it shipped and only after I asked. Highly recommended!Sorry for the poor quality pics these are all I have for now (dress straight out of the bag).

hey girls!

I was also looking for a lace wedding dress but was very budget conscious.  After doing a lot of online searching, and seeing how much lace wedding dresses were going for in Toronto with all the associated accessories (beaded belt, lace veil) I thought I would take a chance on Lace Marry.  After getting my measurements taken at the drycleaner in my condo building, and steeling my nerves with a bottle of wine, I decided to shave one inch off my measurements and order from Lace Marry.  My mother convinced me that I could use or resell the dress if it didn’t work out.  Also, since I am quite short (5’2) I was really anxious about the price of hemming a lace dress.

It took about three days for her to respond to my inital request, and another three days to get my custom requests (a mermaid bottom, custom measurements) quoted and paid for.  I also paid for the rush charge so I’d have enough time to order from a traditional store if I hated the dress.  I paid November 13 and the dress arrived December 2, which was so much faster than I expected.

The dress arrived Monday while I was out of town for work! I paid the DHL charge (be warned, you’ll be paying about $35 extra in shipping charges over the quote and in Canada about $25 in customs charges on delivery).  I worked with DHL to pay the delivery charge and waited patiently to get back into town to try it on.

I have to admit I was SO skeptical when I arrived home last night to a boring DHL bag. BUT …

the dress is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.  Really and truly.  I cried after I put it on with the veil (an additional $40, and SO worth it, edged in matching lace).  I have tried on many dresses in wedding shops, and you would never know that this dress did not come from one.  The seams and edges are beautifully done and the dress is so well constructed.

That being said, it was my fault for taking one inch off each measurement in anticipation of losing weight.  I personally do not lose consistently, so while the dress was snug (almost perfect) in the bust and hips, the waist is too big.  This is not her fault, and I am glad I ordered now so I can trim up and still allow myself six months for alterations before my wedding day.

Again, the dress and lace is gorgeous.  It is so beyond what I ever expected.  And now, I can spend hundreds on alterations as I lose weight without the scare of losing the shape of the dress for length alterations, and even get the really blingy $200 belt I wanted with absolutely no guilt.  I cannot believe I got a dress and veil of this quality for $500 Canadian.

If you PM me, I’m happy to send on pictures of me and my dress and tell you more about my experience. I am over the moon with Lace Marry and could not be happier than I have extra funds to allocate elsewhere in my wedding!!!

@BeeFlwr:  you look gorgeous! That’s actually the dress I want to purchase. How is the craftsmanship? Is the lace soft? Is the Ivory color looks more whitish? Thanks in advance!

@jawaiian86:  Thank you! The craftmanship is better than I expected, I can be very nit picky and the dress has more than met my expectations. Marry even sewed in a care label. The lace is not soft and flimsy, it feels and looks of high quality and has some stiffness too it which helps the dress shape. I didnt look at any white dresses while shopping around so not much to compare the color to but in my opinion it is true ivory, not a whitish color. The back of the dress is so beautiful, unfortunately I have no pics as I have erased them all to avoid my fiance finding them before the big day. I love, love, love my dress and highly recommend Marry.

Hello. I too am hoping someone has some recent experience with LaceMarry.

I have been engaged for only a month and first contacted Lacemarry on etsy 8 days ago for a custom dress. I heard back from her after 4-5 days but another 4 days later I am still waiting for the custom listing so that I can pay for the dress and she can start on it.

I am getting married in early June and am starting to get anxious about the timing. I would like to have bridal portraits taken in April.

I fell in love with her dusty purple vintage dress but want the top to be a little different. I sent her my measurements on Tuesday and have not heard back from her yet.

Has anyone else had recent experiences with her? I know at this point she has sold over 800 items and has a little over 200 feedback reviews.

I would love to use Lace Marry, but I can’t help but be skeptical!!!  I can’t find anything online that says she ISN’T reliable…  but there is still that little bit of fear.  Can anyone do or say anything to make me think she isn’t too good to be true???  PLEASE! 🙂

@EmNEm:  I’m definitely with you here. LaceMarry’s reviews sound FANTASTIC! But it does make me nervous to order without seeing it first…but then again, the dresses I really want seem to run over 1k and I am trying to stay under $500.

I think I’m going to belay some of the worrying by trying on similar dresses at shops and then probably ordering online unless I find a great deal somewhere.

I ordered my dream dress from LaceMarry a few weeks ago. So I’m still waiting to receive my completed dress. The dress is scheduled to ship by March 25th. So a little over a month away!

I am having a dress custom made, using elements of two different dresses that she makes. I’m nervous about the fit of my dress when I get it in and how long alterations will take, if needed.

I’ll come back with an update when I receive my dress!

MinkaGrl01:  Yes!

I just got it back from the tailor today. It needed only minor adjustments.

I am so glad I got this dress. Here it is on me today. I love it! My bridal photos are a week from Sunday. Just in time!

By the way, this is the review I left on Etsy for LaceMarry:

My dress turned out so well. I was so nervous buying my dress online and for a wedding that is so soon. But I ended up getting it just 6-7 weeks after it was ordered. Shipping was super fast! And the dress is gorgeous. I’m so happy with it. I think my family and friends and especially my future husband are going to be amazed when they see me in it for the first time. Its in for minor alterations right now but I’ll have it in plenty of time for my bridal portraits in May! I would not hesitate to buy from Lace Marry, but for your nerves, I would suggest ordering ASAP, so that you have peace of mind that everything will be ok 🙂 Thank you Mary for customizing the dress for me. I plan on sending pictures to facebook or your blog when I have them!
