I’m having a hard time justifying the expense of a special getting ready robe (never wear it again and a pain to pack for my Bridesmaid or Best Man to fly home with). Our hotel has those super comfy robes in each room and I am leaning toward just using those. Anyone do that? Curious how it turned out?

renwoman: If memory serves, the robes in the hotel rooms are terrycloth, which can get a little hot at times, especially if you’re nervous and getting your hair styled with dryers and irons….if you don’t want to blow the coin on a robe, how about a comfy pair of pants and a button down shirt?

I did and it worked out just fine. Very comfy.

renwoman: I love hotel robes. The ones from Starwood are the best.

If it’s too warm in the hotel room, you can always turn up the air conditioning. I am sure the hotel would be glad to provide any number of robes if you ask.

renwoman: I just used our hotel robe and it was fine- but I did DIY my hair & makeup and took my sweet time between each piece- spaced it out with chatting with family, drinks, food, and more drinks! We were in mexico but our room had its own control for AC so i just turned it up a bit… I think it even looked OK in the pics our photog took:
