I love all the cute shirts for my son with trucks, shamrocks, etc. on them, but I usually end up shelling out a lot of money on esty to just buy these shirts. I can’t sew unfortunatley, but I was thinking about the iron on appliques. Are these easy to do? Do they look nice once done and hold up after machine wash? What do I need, I saw I need some type of ultra bond, towel, and ironing board. Is this it? Thanks so much!

I ironed an awesome patch onto a hoodie with a hole in the sleeve, and it’s held up pretty well. The patch came off a bit on one side after a few times through the washing machine (cold water, I don’t dry it in the dryer), but it’s stayed on pretty well.
Just try it! Follow the directions, and be patient. It’ll either work or not…but then you’ll know. =)

I did it with some tank tops when I was pregnant and loved them! It was easy to do 🙂 I don’t think they last forever but with things like maternity and kids clothes that they grow out of so quickly I think it’s worth it! Much cheaper than off etsy
