Any Bees use the OvaCue fertility monitor?
I am curious in purchasing it to currently prevent pregnancy when I get married.
I am trying to practice Natural Family Planning but haven’t taken courses yet due to lack of time so I am thinking this would help aid and be a very good thing to prevent pregnancy.
and no for the bees that don’t understand, NFP, no condoms, or the pill is not an option.

I think fertility monitors detect a surge in the leutinizing hormone (LH) that happens before you ovulate. It does not necessarily detect ovulation, since some people surge then don’t drop a mature egg. Some people have a very quick surge and it’s easy to miss if the timing isn’t exact, so you can ovulate and not realize it.
If I were you *and I know I’m not* I would maybe look into charting your temperature as well as other signs (like cervical mucous, position, etc) and read Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
The drawback being that charting temperature alone will only tell you that you DID or DID NOT ovulate, it can’t predict it. However, if you have regular cycles and learn how your cycle behaves you can time intercourse to prevent pregnancy, but if you don’t chart regularly or don’t know your cycle or have an off month, you could still become pregnant.
