Caroline Tran shot this wedding that had lots of anemone (There are more pictures, I just picked one to insert here)

We're not using the, but I love 'em!
Here's something I found online.

I love anemones! We used them for the bridesmaids bouquets (with rannaculus and sweet pea) and our low centerpieces.
I love anemones especially red and white. I've been looking for a good DIY tut for making them either fabric or origami (as that's what my bouquet is going to be) maybe using a black button for the center. I think they're a beautiful wedding flower that's not overused.
These are my FAVORITE flowers EVER! Cant wait to incorporate them into our Winter Wedding!
@kala_way: If you find a good DIY for fabric one's please share!!
@kala_way: Share with me too! I'm ending up using a lot of paper flowers and fabric flowers as decoration, because I can make them ahead of time, and I like how they look. I think I've run across one How-to for a paper anemone on the interwebs that looked pretty good. I'll have to google it again.
@arclee: I've found a pattern for a crocheted red poppy (they're in the same family so I think the patterns should be similar enough--the center and shading is the only real difference in the real thing). Maybe attaching two of those together to make it more full. My grandmother loves to crochet so I was think of asking her to make a bunch for me. She'd love to be a part of my wedding that way.
I've found a few places where you can buy pre-made paper ones but not a good DIY tut. I think it's because it's hard to make the uneven petals look pretty using paper unless you go very mod. Here's one but I'm not sure I love the result or could even make it look that nice. *shrug* still looking
I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a DIY tutorial but can't find anything, except for cake toppers. We are also doing our centerpieces and bouquets of paper flowers. I may just end up experimenting and seeing if I can make them just by looking at a photo. If anyone finds a tutorial please let us know!!!!!

These are made from foam but they are the best ones that I have found personally!
hey just a heads up that anemones have very short shelf life. So if you decide to use them, make sure they are fresh and make sure that they stay cool. Heat is something that will shorten their life at a much faster rate than other hardier flowers.
@CupCakeMeg: Do you know if they are expensive flowers?? I love the white ones so much and I am getting married just a week before you. We are having a black and white wedding and I would LOVE to have these :)

I love anemone flowers, especially when they have the contrasting center. Has anyone used them in their wedding flowers? Bouquets or decorations. I would love to see pics if you have!
