Oh no...why? I literally just put the check and contract in the mail...why are you considering trying to get out of your contract with them? Did something happen?
Hi!
Did you really? Have you been dealing with Chris? Who will your actual DJ be? Here are the issues so far: we will be having a different DJ by the name of Jorge, and I recently found out from our venue that he had a less than stellar review from the bride there who used him. He only has one review on weddingwire (as opposed to Chris), so I'm very concerned now. The biggest issue is that they tried to come up with extra charges for things they already knew they would need when e signed the contract - kinda frustrating. For instance, they knew our venue had 2 separate rooms for reception and dance floor, yet said later it would be another $100 to set up a speaker to connect the rooms. Oh, and he tried to charge me $15 to pay my deposit thru paypal. I guess I just feel nickle and dimed, plus the comunication hasn"t been that great. I am waiting to hear more from my coordinator at teh venue - I had her ask that bride more questions for me.
Oh wow. Yeah, I literally just dropped the contract and check in the mail box and after I read this, I ran outside as fast I could to grab it before the mail man could. I wanted to wait and see what your reply was. I have been dealing with Chris via email and he has always been on top of replying and following up. He was unavailable for the day so we have Jorge as well. I just met with him Monday and he seems very nice, but then again nice and being able to DJ are two different things. But we were actually referred to him, Jorge, specifically by our videographer who said Jorge was one of the best DJ's he has ever worked with (I guess he worked with him on a wedding a few weeks prior). I mentioned to Jorge that that is how we were referred and Jorge had no idea who he was, which I kind of liked because I felt that meant it wasnt one of those I refer you you refer me even though we both suck type of deals. So far I have not had any problems with them but I am very interested in hearing what the other bride had to say before I put my check and contract back in the mail. What venue is your reception at?
Our venue is Starved Rock Lodge. Well, I suppose that makes me feel better. I also spoke to someone who gave him a positive review, so it's just hard to say. The overall experience has been not-so-great though. So you actually met with Jorge? Did he seem like he would be a good MC? If you email me, I will forward you exactly what the bride wrote about him. My coordinator is back in the office Tuesday, and she was going to send the bride another email with the rest of my questions. Hopefully she will write back the same day and I can get those answers. I'm worried that if we end our contract, we won't get our deposit back. Ugh - I just don't know what to do. Here's my email: kellyrwn@msn.com

We are considering trying to get out of our contract with them so I'm hoping for feedback from anyone who has used them as Djs.
