yes! i actually just purchased some off ebay that i will be using. here is a photo:

I debated between two sellers on ebay and this one (link below) did singular color bunting too alternating between polka dots and stripes - there are pictures if you follow the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Clearance-Sale-ORANGE-fabric-bunting-10-ft-3m-3-/160564166572?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item25625ebfac#ht_1021wt_788
that might be a good option since you want to make your own and use your own colors!
Etsy is a great option and it seems that your reception would be the perfect fit for these darling pieces.
Here are some vendors/options:

Thank you for all the suggestions! I'm a big DIY-er, so I'll be tackling this one myself. I'll keep you updated once I've got some done!
I love bunting, but am not using them in my own wedding. Just as something to note. If you're going to do them, you should totally due a mini one on your cake! I LOVE that idea. There are some etsy sellers that make them, but you could DIY, too. I love the look. It's so adorable! The pic below is from Etsy seller JAIMEMANCILLA.

I'm planning to! Bought cute fabric and everything, just haven't gotten around to it yet. And I was TOTALLY going make a mini set to be the cake topper... until we decided to get cupcakes instead. I'm thinking I'll make a tiny flag with my favorite fabric to go on top of our cupcake. (We're having regular-sized cupcakes for everyone, and one jumbo-sized cupcake that we plan to cut and share.)
We are going to do a burlap pennant banner w/ "thank you". & take pics of us holding it. We want to send thank you photo postcards to our guests & loved this idea.

I'm gonna do a paper doily banner, cause I have a buttload of paper doilies to use up XD
here's the tutorial for these particular ones: http://www.pollywantacrafter.com/2010/11/party-decor-paper-doily-bannerbunting.html
@christinenadine: I love the lace look! It reminds me of papel picado ... here is some amazing stuff at Etsy that I am so in love with: http://www.etsy.com/listing/60801187/vivaldi-3-pack-custom-color-papel-picado
I just made a sample of mine today!! My internet is really slow so I can't upload any pics right now, but they are burlap pennants (for our vintage/rustic barn reception). I cut our initials and some hearts out of a red checkered fabric, sewed the fabric onto the flags, and sewed the flags onto twine. I then added a couple ribbon bows to decorate. I think they're adorable for decorating gift tables, hanging above the head table, etc.
Have fun!!

I'm having an outdoor BBQ reception with a beautiful covered picnic pavilion. I'm debating making a pennant banner to decorate, and was wondering if anyone else has pictures of theirs.
something like this, but just in my colors (red and light blue):
Thank you in advance!
