I looked at it and if I was getting married in Cleveland it would have been it. I loved the room, the view, the loft, everything!! What I did not love was that it was kind of hard to get a response from their sales department when I emailed them and that they were pretty inflexible when it came to customizing a package to suit my needs.

I dont think the package I was looking at had centerpieces (hard to remember) but the thing I was big on was I didn’t want a cake or liquor (beer/wine only) because I was trying to save costs. They told me they’d give me $2/person to remove those. UMM huh? So I was pretty frustrated. After enough bitching I think they did finally agree to consider a more a la carte deal… but then we decided to get married in Columbus so it was kind of a moot argument.

I got married at Windows in the City View room this March. The service was really great and our sales person Bobbi was super easy to work with. The package is a bit limiting, but I brought in my own centerpeices and it worked out fine. Unfortunately, you don’t get any money off if you don’t use their centerpieces.

I will say this, though.. we had both our ceremony and reception in the City View room, and you could hear the wedding next door during our vows. So, I wouldn’t have the ceremony there if you can avoid it.

As for the cake, the one Windows provided was delicious.. we got lots of compliments. But, if you have your heart set on something else, maybe they could work with you..

Finally, the florist Windows recommended was Fresh Tendrils (next to the cake place Windows uses). While our flowers were beautiful, the florist charged our credit card for $200 more than we signed the contract for. So, we had to file a credit card dispute and the florist was suuuuper rude. Also, the limo company we used was a total joke. They sent a dirty shuttle bus instead of a limo bus.. so avoid Aqua Limos.

Feel free to ask any other questions about Windows!!

The cakes provided in the packages at Windows are made by a bakery called Wild Flour. Wild Flour Bakery in Rocky River is one of the best bakeries in NE Ohio. The people are wonderful there and the cake is delicious. Just thought I would mention this.

I looked at Windows on the River, but ultimately decided to get married at Manakiki Golf Course which is catered by Sammys. Manakiki has a gorgeous outdoor space to get married which is what originally sold me, but the Sammys has also been great to work with and the reception space is great.

Feel free to PM if you have any other questions about Cleveland wedding planning, DOCs etc… I have been planning my wedding for over a year and am happy to help if I can ๐Ÿ™‚

I looked at windows but I found the bathrooms absolutly horrible!  I know that sounds stupid but they seriously looked like a nasty bar bathroom and I could not imagine my guests or myself (in a nice white dress) going in there.

Plus, I found the women there very “take it or leave it…we dont need you”.  I sort of found it annoying.  I will say though, I live right behind there and they are packed all of the time because the packages are fairly inexpensive (incomparison to say sammy’s, etc).

If you are interested in the warehouse feel, I’d also look at sammy’s in the flats.  Its right across the river from windows.

My cousin had ceremony/reception at Windows.  They used one room for an afternoon ceremony and a different room for an evening reception.  During the ceremony, the staff was setting up the balcony for another event.  Yes, you could hear dishes clattering, etc.  So I don’t recommend them for a ceremony.  However, their reception was nice.  I remember the food being pretty good and the bathrooms were fine.  Worth a look but if they are inflexible, there are a lot of other options out there.

We looked there and while the venue was unique I had the same package concerns and was unimpressed by the lack of cleanliness of the bathrooms and room.  We decided to go with The Club at Key Center and LOVED it!  We were able to use our same budget that we had with Windows and were able to get so much more and a higher level of personal detail by the staff.  I have been to a wedding at Windows and you can definitely hear/see the other wedding party.  At The Club you are the only guests in the entire venue!

@Magnolialove: I just made contact with The Club at Key Center and couldn’t make sense of their prices. The best I could figure was that the lowest was $89 per person. Is that about what you paid?
