Good evening Bees!

So, basically I had a talk with the future mr pants last june about when we would get engaged... after much discussion we decided sometime in the next 2 years would be appropriate.  Little did I know how longggggg 2 years is when you are a waiting bee!  Even though he has until 2011 to pop the question, I have a feeling/hope it will be this summer.  Our 4 year anniversary is June 4th and my Birthday is in late August, so I was thinking somewhere in there.  I know it will be during the summer because he always said he would propose outdoors, I just hope it's 2010 and not 2011.  I'll need to think of a backup plan if it doesn't happen this year to keep myself calm. 

The good news is he did say he knew when he was going to do it barring any financial disasters, which also gives me hope it'll be this year  We are planning on an August 2012 wedding and I would like more than a year to plan and mess around with DIY projects. 

Anyone else have a feeling they will be getting a ring sometime this summer?!

I would realllllllllllly love to be engaged by summertime, realistically and financially I think it could happen. BF has always said he wants to propose on a non-holiday/birthday/anniversary and I have NONE of those in summer (4th of July maybe? lol) soo here's hoping!

I too am thinking it'll be this summer.  SO says it will be... but today at dinner through conversation we realized that he thought the diamond was less than it is.... by like $500 dollars.... so we'll see

@TheRen, I know what you mean about being friends for years beforehand.  I met my boyfriend when I was in 9th grade and I am now 24, but we didn't start dating until he moved back from college.  But I have known him for so long and talked to him pretty much everyday since I met him :) 

I also know I want an outdoor wedding by a lake and I would like to spend the summer eyeing up state parks as possible venues, I am sure I will do this with or without a ring though.

@fuschiasparkles my boyfriend also said he wouldn't propose on a holiday?! He thinks that is cheating.  He never said anything about an anniversary but I bet he wouldn't do it on that day and probably a few days after that (or my birthday) to throw me off. 

Or maybe he will just wait until we go hiking some place with a nice view?  Ahh! I cannot wait to find out.
