Let me start by saying I have no sense of style what so ever.
We’re buying a new bigger bed, so we’re going to have to get all new blankets sheets, etc, so I want to design our bedroom so it actually looks nice! We have an awful pink carpet which I’m just pretending isn’t there until we replace it, and white walls.
I tried to make a pinterest board to get an idea of what I like, but it just looks sad and empty! The bed frame is most likely the one we’re going to get, and I really like the animal heads from Anthropologie. I’m thinking a rustic sort of feel? Maybe? Man. I need help.
ETA: If you have any inspiration pics on pinterest or elsewhere I would love to see them!

Oops, meant to post this on the home board!

Do you have pictures of the bed frame and maybe what you’d like to get as bedding?

This is the bed frame:
I have no idea what kind of bedding I want, right now everything is mixed and matched from before my SO and I moved in together, and it’s more or less a big jumbled mess.
I like the striped blanket in this picture:
So I’m thinking maybe white or cream bedding with something like that as an accent? Kind of similar to this:

Personally, I love the white-bedding-plus-natural wood look myself. Add some fur-ish decorative pillow and a gorgeous textured throw blanket (which you can find ANYWHERE) and you can achieve a look like this fairly easily:

Have you looked at the blog Young House Love? They have an affinity for ceramic animals/animal heads and IKEA too. They have a beautiful home.

I think the most important thing is to narrow down what “feel” you want. Do you want dramatic, sexy, romantic, soft, relaxing, etc? Then choose a color palette, basic furniture and fill in the details after that.
