I did but I slowly stopped watching.  For some reason, I don’t like the actor playing Dracula. I do love Grimm which is on before Dracula.  I’ve watched it from the beginning and I love it!

I love it, but I’m a huge Rhys Meyers fan. Plus I’ve been a fan of vampires since Anne Rice was just another unknown paperback fantasy writer. And I like anything that can get back towards the more primal/tortured soul type and away from the glittery/teen lover version of them.(No offense to twilight lovers, just not my cup of tea)

The character is a LOT like how he played Henry on the tudors. Except I’d say smarter. Henry was pretty dumb and went along with whatever stroked his ego. Dracula has a healthy ego for sure, but he is much more subtly calculating, which comes out more you watch.

I’d suggest sticking with it. The last two new episodes have been absolute fun. Fast paced, a few “Oh shit!” moments. There’s also a neat animated web series on the Dracula website I watched that added interest to the show(yeah I’m a totaly TV nerd, I watch webisodes.) Though if you watch it, it can spoil some of the fun surprises towards the end of the season.

Watch while you can though as it looks like all the other viewers felt like both of you and tapered off after it’s strong season start, cancellation is likely to my dismay. 🙁

@tksjewelry:  Yeah I’m hoping the last episode pulls a little more. The nielsen rating system is so outdated with the way people consume media today, frustrates me to no end. I’ve seen several fantastic shows (The Glades, Alphas ect) cancelled on cliffhangers because of the ratings system. But I’ll stop before I go full on media communications rant. lol.

I also read the might give the show a second season since it was cheap enough to produce that it didn’t need as high numbers to get turnaround, much like Hannible was in it’s premiere season last year. I hope so cause I have a feeling they’ll get more into mythology and experimenting with plot in the second season. I need some better TV to make me feel upbeat after all the disappointing winter finales for several of my favorite shows. -_- That and I also love Jessica DeGouw who plays Mina, the actress does so well and is such fun!

Okay I’ll stop trying to talk you into it now, I apologize. XD

After reading some of the posts above, I decided to watch the remainder of the series this weekend. I have to say that I was ready to give up on Dracula all together but it did pick up and get interesting/suspenseful.  The last 3 episodes were freaking amazing!!

I’m slowly liking Rhys Meyers. He’s eyebrows really bother me though…not the fact that they are incredibly bushy but they seem to be thicker on one side and lopsided on the other. 🙂 He’s still HOT!
