Wow – I was very proud of Melissa when she called him a b*stard.  Child protective services (or the babymomma) should come in to rescue Tai.  It is an utter disgrace to break off an engagement on national tv, and start hooking up with another girl 45 minutes later!

I think it’s all scripted too.  Even if it was all real, I’m not really sure how you can find love in such a short period of time with so many beautiful women.  It’s really hard to choose.  Real life is not like that…you don’t do all these crazy challenges just to get a date or you don’t just fly to France for the weekend.  I haven’t really been watching the Bachelor’s for the past few seasons, but the first one…with Alex…I was glued to the TV.  None of them works out in the end except for Trista and Ryan.  Maybe there is one more couple.  I’m not really sure.

i think i might be the only person that wanted him to end up with molly. he may not have gone about it in the best way and it totally sucks for melissa, but i’m glad him and molly are giving it a try.

It was otaly my guilty pleasure this season.  I think I might have wanted him with Molly, but not that badly.  I so thought he was goingt ochoose Melissas.  So I guess Iwas kind of right??  But now I’m wondering with Melissa gone, is he going to be with Molly and think,…. What is Melissa up to?

I think it’s the atmosphere.  It is so unatural.  It has to be nearly impossible to start and maintain a healthy relationship.  You not only haveto date several people.  But you have to keep up the charade (and date and kiss etc.) for the purpose of TV.  There has to be a point when he thinks, "Gee I’d liek to get rid of 5, but I’m only allowed to get rid of 3."

Lillindy! I’m sooo with you! I was rooting for Melissa and was sooo excited when he chose her!! I think Molly is soo fake and immature for him! But now I lost respect for him and think he is a scumbag.  Molly told him he was making a mistake at the final rose ceremony, well now I think he is definitly making a mistake dumping Melissa! Melissa was right he is a Bastard! That poor kid, can you imagine going through all this! He probably doesn’t know what is going on!!

I totally agree that it was completely tasteless and insensitive for him to break up with Melissa on national TV.  What was he thinking?  He obviously didn’t really care for Melisa to humiliate her like that.

You know what though, Melissa still blamed the breakup on herself! That shows class.  She wasn’t really mad at him, initially she was but it was out of hurt which is totally understandable especially since it was on national TV! She could have bashed him and thrown him under the bus and everything and she didn’t.  I think that was very classy of her.

I think the whole thing was staged!

I read some "rumors" online that he was originally presented with the "plot twist" idea and agreed to it.  Supposedly from the beginning Melissa was the chosen second runner up and Molly was the real winner.  I knew of these rumors before watching, and can see how it might be true.  Molly’s reactions were sort of scripted – when Chris Harris started asking Molly about whether she hoped he would change his mind, it was too much for me and I had to stop watching.

Who knows if this is true (do a google search to read some of the buzz).  Either way, I agree with Melissa that he is a B*stard.  Have some class and break up with her in private.  A terrible hollywood ending!

I love the Bachelor/Bachelorette series and was totally disgusted by this. I rooted for Melissa since day 1. I think if he wanted to break it off, do it in private and not on TV. His family was so overprotective about him not getting hurt, I wonder how they feel about what he did to Melissa.

I looooooooooooved The Bachelor in college. But that was when there were only 2 channels on our dorm room tv. When Andrew Firestone didn’t marry that girl, I decided my relationship with The Bachelor was over.
