im watching too. Asking to go on a diet with her WTF. i feel so bad for them.
I wasn't watching but jumped in when I saw this post. Crazy! I cannot even believe what her mom is saying/doing :(
Those are all things that I've been thinking while watching. It's so sad to see a mother who flat out doesn't care about her daughter. The real kicker was when she asked her to go on a diet with her....are you flipping kidding me?! What a horrible, selfish person.
i'm not surprised the daughter is anorexic. That is the one thing she could control in her life. Hopefully she will get better and ditch her loser mom.
Ya her mom is a jerk. The rent request and then letting the heat get shut off with your new grandson in the house. She's an ass.
I agree too about this teen father he seems pretty well rounded.
The teen father seems great, which is sadly unusual.
The grandmother on the other hand... ::shudders:: All the reasons you listed.
Every second of this episode made me want to bang my head against the wall. At first I just wanted to wring the girl's neck... (really you're still starving yourself even after you were rushed to the hospital?!), but then I was surprised that other than her eating disorder she seems normal and grounded, which is strange because her mom was absolutely horrible. I felt so badly for her. I applaud her for being able to keep her composure, I would have flown off the handle so many times with the way the mom kept minimizing the situation, and attributing blame to the daughter when there really was one. If she has to sacrifice graduating HS because of her mom she will probably resent her the rest of her life.
It makes me so sad/angry to see the child acting like the adult in the relationship. Ugh. So grateful that my mom was/is totally amazing.
God, i'm so upset that the mom ditched her for her boyfriend. And is not encouraging her to eat when she's been diagnosed anorexic. She's freaking out about her belly being fat and it's a BABY inside of you! It makes me so anxious!

Beekeeper
Is anyone else watching this tonight? I am DISGUSTED with the grandma/mom (the mom of the teen mom). She seems like she doesn't care at all about her daughter-- who (for a change) is really good at articulating exactly what she wants from her mom. I don't know if I've ever watched an episode of this where i've said "really?!?!" so many times.
- ditching daughter to go to game w/ bf
- telling her its nothing when her water broke
- ignoring the nutritionist when she says that the daughter needs to eat with someone
- ditching her the week the baby is born
- making the bf pay rent when she knows it means her daughter prob won't get a hs diploma
- asking her ANOREXIC daughter to go on a diet with her?!?!?!
On the up side, this seems to be the first really decent guy of the season. The (teen) mom obviously has some issues but she at least seems like a caring mom and with the dad I hope they'll be okay. So sad.
