@Dancing-in-September: I know the whole bridal party is wearing flats at the ceremony.  They can do what they want for the reception, as we are both changing.

I am wearing wedge for my ceremony and regular heels for my reception.

@Dancing-in-September:  I like that she’s wearing flats – I want to be taller at the church.

Also there might be grass.

I originally planned on wearing heels for the ceremony and then most likely just kicking them off for the reception. Well, last week I stood in them for only 30 minutes while my dress was getting pinned (first alterations appt.) and I was miserable. Granted, I’m always miserable in heels lol. I decided that I don’t want to be thinking about how much my feet hurt while I’m supposed to be focused on the ceremony. I also don’t want to stand up there shifting back and forth on my feet. So alas, I will be wearing flats the entire wedding 🙂

@Dancing-in-September:  I’m 5’3″ so I consider myself short but someone shorter than that might not lol

@Dancing-in-September:  Yup, I am!

I’m wearing 2.5inch peep-toe JCs for the ceremony and day-time activities, and then changing into 3.5inch strappy Gina sandals for the evening reception/dancing.

My dress is very heavy with the train, and I didn’t want to feel unstable walking down the aisle/walking from A-B/in photos etc. But, I don’t dance well in lower heels, plus my dress will be bustled in the evening and not as heavy, so, I’m wearing higher heels in the evening.

Probably sounds crazy to most people, but it makes sense to me!

Here are my shoes:
