this is what im wearing i find it really comfortable and i have small children that still like to be picked up... and havent had to take it out anywhere... only thing im doing is shortening the hem

yeah because i was worried about the same thing when i was debating buying it, it feels the same as wearing a ball gown (which i also own) when you sit down.. i think all it is at first is a fear of something going wrong with your dress cause i had the same fear with the ball gown.. youre just worried it might rip cause the dress is such a big deal... the people at the bridal salon should be able to help you get the right fit... the only time you would have a problem sitting in it, is if the dress is too small and you are busting at the seams... if you are still worried, get a corset back and loosen if you need to, this is handy either way cause some womens breasts swell up when nervous or its PMS time

I am, I made sure to sit in it at the store before I bought it. I think some ball gowns were better because I'm carry my weight in my midsection, so I sometimes like the forgiving nature of a ball gown more... but alas, i fell in love with a mermaid ;-)

This is something I actually didn't think about until I had already ordered my dress! Luckily when it came in I could sit and dance around in it just fine lol When I sit it just definitely makes me have good posture, which I suppose is a good thing in the end for pictures, right? :)
please excuse the squeezed back! the woman put one of those bra corset things on underneath and was squeezing the life out of me lol
I didn't think of sitting down either til my dress came in. Luckily, no problem. Mine still needs to be taken in to fit, but as long as I sit down in it with the seamstress I don't think it will be a problem. Funny though, when I tell people I'm wearing a mermaid dress everyone asks if I can walk/sit in it.

I finally picked my dress for the second time, believe it or not. My fiance's cousin had the same dress as me sa my original dress. Thank God the store allowed me to change etc, it was early enough! That dress (meagan) is my wedding dress, which I've picked for the second time! Mine is in White! =)
I am starting to freak out, cause I've noticed posts on here, we are meant to try sitting down? Woops, I never did ? Mind you the dress I tried on was a size 12. I am a 9!
My seamstress suggested I pull the dress up slightly (so it bunches at the hips). It works great and is comfortable (and looks MUCH better than it sounds). There would be no sitting otherwise.

I picked out my dress 2 weeks ago and I am head over hills in love with this dress !! Its a Christina wu Mermaid style dress and I am a lil concerned of how comfartable I am going to be in it (sitting) I asked the seamstress if she could take it out around my bottom and hips a lil and she said that it doesnt need to be taken out but I am just concerned on how comfortable its going to be to sit down ???
Has anybody had this problem>>>?????
