I don't watch any of those shows except Sex and the City. In my opinion, it was more mature than Melrose Place, 90210, etc.
The closest thing like that I can watch is Grey's Anatomy.
I can only get into a couple of them and mostly for the fashion as opposed to the actual drama content. I think nowadays we're more exposed to reality TV so we don't want to watch the dramas because we know they aren't real - we want to see the stuff we feel like we can relate to.
I cannot get into any of those shows and I love to watch tv and movies. I will try to watch episodes bc ppl tell me they are so good and I am just not into it. I do like to watch House, Fringe (with my FI) and Americas next top model.
At one point, I did watch "Sex and the City", but I have to admit it was only because it was on at a certain time, not that I really got into it. I can't get into heavy dramas, soap operas, or reality television. I honestly think I could go without television all together and be perfectly fine.
I am more of a daytime drama girl myself. I love Young and the Restless...probably b/c some of my earliest memories are watching with my great-grandma =) I am not all that into reality TV...mostly b/c most of it is staged anyway...and if I am watching staged programming, the actors/actresses might as well be talented.
I do like Bones, Fringe, NCIS, and Criminal Minds.

Was at my sister's place last night watching the season premiere of Supernatural and when the commercials for the other "teen" shows came on, it sparked the conversation of who is able to get into them and who isn't, partly due to upbringing and personality. Is there anyone else who is not able to get into the drama of One Tree Hill, Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, 90210/Melrose Place, and the thousands like them, or are those a rare breed?
