Me & my fiance are only about 2" apart in height, I'm going to be wearing kitten heels for the wedding that aren't very tall at all.. At least that is the plan for now, if I can find some cute sandals between now & September I may very well buy some new ones.
My fiance is about a half an inch taller than me. I am thinking about wearing flat sandals, but in red, to make it fun. (Now if I could just find some...)
My FI is 2 inches taller than I am. With heels, I am taller than he is. I have opted to wear flats or maybe a low 1 inch heel for the wedding day. I just don't want to look like I am towering over him in any of our pics. That's just me though.
Wearing short heels too -- if you go to zappos, you can search by heel height. I went for 1.5" heels. (He's about 3" taller than me). I bought dyeables that I will have dyed to match my BM dresses, and I'm adding a shoe clip to make them more fun.
My husband is 2 inches taller than me. I wore 2 inch gold dress sandals during photos and the ceremony and we were basically the same height. During the reception I change into flat dress sandals for comfort.
My fiance is just a little shorter than I am (he says he's not but he's crazy). He could care less if I wear heels and tower over him but I just can't imagine being taller on my wedding day because the pictures won't feel right LOL
FI is "the same height", but he's actually 0.25" taller, according to those science museum height-comparator things.
I made the mistake of wearing heels to my uncle's funeral, and of course, my family, being the people that they are, could not resist making "omg he is so short" type comments. Completely ignoring that I was wearing 2"-3" heels.
I know that come wedding day, people are going to be looking for something to gawk about, and I certainly don't feel like hearing about the "but you're taller" business, because I'm not.
I hate wearing fancy shoes anyway, so I'm thinking of wearing a pair of Skechers flats.
DH is a little bit taller than me. Keeping that in mind I wore shoes without too much of a heel ( I think they were 2 inches or maybe 3).
We're both short. I was always attracted to very tall/large men. It took me awhile to get used to someone small in stature. But he's more manly than any of the big hulks I used to date!
I'm 5'1" and he is about 5'4".
My FI is about a 1/2" shorter. For the ceremony I am going barefoot and for the recpetion I am just wearing flip flops. Whatever you decide to do make sure you have your dress done to that height. My friend wore heels during her ceremony and then went barefoot during her reception and her dress was dragging on the floor and looked all uneven.
My FH is 2-3'' shorter than I am. On a normal day, I don't even think about it, but for the wedding....that's a different story. I am a shoe-a-holic, especially stilettos, so it was a painful search for me to find shoes that I like that aren't 4''+! FH doesn't mind that I'm taller than him, and really wouldn't care if I wore huge heels, but I think I would feel weird towering over him in pictures. I managed to find 3'' heels that I like, and I'm going to take them to a shoe repair guy and see if he can takethem down to about 2.5''. That's the best I've found and I love them!
i was worried about this - i really wanted to wear some hot heels but my husband is 5'7 and im 5'3 so with some heels on im about the same heigh as him...i ended up wearing 2.5inch heels and it worked for me :)
FI is about 2 inches taller than me. I found the cutest pair of purple flats that i can't wait to rock on my wedding day.
@futuremrsmaista: I am in the exact same boat. On any normal day, he and I don't mind that in my stilettos, I am taller. On my wedding day, everyone has convinced me that it will look off and it won't be a nice feeling for him. So I have succumbed. LOL.
Still haven't found a pair but I know they are out there. Was thinking about hand bedazzling a pair of Loub kitten heels...
I am taller than DH! I wore low shoes, not because I wanted to or was concerned about being taller- because of the length of my dress I pretty much had to. I like being taller- I guess I usually am taller than most people/ or the same height as most men- so I kind of pride myself on it. I like it.
My FI is about half an inch shorter than me....i will be rocking turquoise flats and I don't mind one bit! I know I would be changing shoes later on anyway to dance the night away if I had chosen to wear heels, so why not start out comfy in cute flats???
If I wear three inch heels, I'm taller, and I don't want to be on our wedding day. I just am so used to wearing heels that I don't really want to wear flats...I'm trying to convince him to wear tall shoes, too... lol
Fi is like 3 inches shorter than me. Under normal circumstances I have no problem wearing heels (honestly, I'm already taller then him, what's a few more inches?) but on wedding day I'm wearing flats. I just don't want to be towering over him as we say our vows, know what I mean?
But I do plan on finding some killer shoes (aka heels) for the rehearsal!
My FH is about 2 inches taller than me, and I think i'm going to wear flats. If I wear heels I like them to be at least 3", so i'd def be taller. It doens't normally bother me when i'm taller in heels, but I feel like it might looking at pictues later in life.
every pair of shoes i fall in love with is a heal 3+ inches... Well Fi is shorter than me and heals are a no go :( I have to admit it is a bit sad but im getting a amazing pair of heals for pictures with the girls and a few other things but flats for everything else...
ya my fiance is less then an inch taller.. so my feet need to be as close to the ground as possible!! lol. unfortunately because I drool over most of the high heels posted on this site..

I am not usually concerned about my height in comparison to my FI but on our wedding day I thought that it would be nice to wear flats. If your FI is the same height or shorter than you, what are you wearing for shoes?
