So I’m looking at wedding bands and need something fairly simple for work. I was just thinking of a plain band but fi didn’t like it because it blended in with the band on my e ring so nowmI’m contemplating getting one with a pattern or engraving on… does anyone have any pics they could share?

cpick: No pics, but my friend is Jewish and when she got married, apparently it’s traditional to have a plain band without any flashiness. She and her husband got plain, rose gold bands with “Forever Young” and their date engraved on the inside. I think that’s really nice.
Also, Celtic bands can be very pretty. They’re a little on the heavy side to show off the designs, but I think they’re really cool. I was looking at them initially b/c I have a Celtic trinity on my e-ring.

BurlapnLace: thanks for your reply I had a look at celtic banda but also found this in a local jewellery store. .. I’d get it narrower maybe 2.5m instead but not sure if it looks right. ..

I have an old-school, engraved e-ring and my wedding ring will match. We found a jeweler on Etsy (Graham from Stone Fever) that we really like.
I am totally obsessed with my engraved bands, so I think you should go for it! They are so timeless and unique. I also definitely recommend Graham from Stone Fever. He hand-engraves his designs in sterling silver, white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold.

cpick: yep I have an engraved wedding band – it was my grandmother’s so the engravings are fairly worn. It’s 1.7 mm I believe.

Beautiful rings ladies! I’m pretty much convinced that engraved is the way to go 🙂 just need to decide if I like the one I’ve found or if I should keep looking. I loved it in the store but it’s so easy to second guess myself now!
