Tungsten is a good metal to get because it will shatter, not bend, if too much pressure is applied.

DH has cobalt – he’s an electrician and has three vintage cars he works on constantly and the ring still looks awesome. Cobalt feels better to me than tungsten, tbh.

Tungsten. My DH does construction, general home repair and he never takes his ring off.

@peachbaby4008:  My husband is an Aircrewman in the Navy and often comes home reeking of oil. Mostly his job is communications, but their squadron helps out everywhere.

He cannot wear his ring while flying. However, he didn’t want a ring that was dainty.

So, we got him this:

The two outer rings twist and the inner gears turn.

M Fiance and I picked out a Tungsten band.  He is a mechanic. 🙂

My husband owns his own auto shop and I bought him a 14k .25 carat diamond band. He doesnt wear his ring to work though, we had a friend of a friend that was working on a car and the gold of his ring melted into his hand and he’s got a mangled looking finger now. It doesn’t bother me. Of course id like him to wear a ring at work but I understand the reason why he’s kind of afraid to. I thought about getting a stainless steel ring for him to wear to work but then the incident of his friend happened and so I hust stoped worrying about it. He wears his ring when we go out or whenever he remembers.

I’d really like to know how this happened, considering gold melts at nearly two thousand degrees Fahrenheit.

My hubby is a mechanic.  He had gold, but he does not wear his ring at work.  That is dangerous, and I like all his fingers, lol.
