You may have to replace the stone in 5 or so years, depending on how often you wear it and knock it against things. I had a morganite ring that I wore daily for about a year, and it is majorly scuffed up and scratched now 🙁

I’m not sure what the normal price is but for a morganite in gold ring with diamonds on Etsy usually runs $1000 or less. I am seriously looking into morganite as my stand in ring.

I have a morganite ring. I am pretty hard on jewelry and it is still ok after a few years, but I only wear it a couple times a month. If you are a super sentimental person and know that if it breaks or chips or scratches, you will be heartbroken, go with another stone. Sapphires come in that shade too. I had my heart set on a tanzanite engagement ring, but went with a sapphire the same color as a tanzanite because it’s more durable. Honestly, I’ve had several times when I smacked my hand against something so hard I am pretty sure a tanzanite would be toast already. And I would cry. But if you are ok with replacing it eventually, go for it. You could get several gorgeous morganites for the price of a so-so diamond. 🙂 The ring you are in love with is stunning.

CraftyB:  I’m not entirely sure, as I found this one on Etsy. Maybe ask around at a few jewelry stores to see if they have it or can order it?

CraftyB:  I have a sapphire and what gold claddagh ring that hasn’t left my hand in over a year, and it still looks the same as the day I got it. I never take it off other than to clean it every few months, and it has held up wonderfully. No scratches or nicks on it at all.

I have a morganite RHR that is about 3. It’s held up beautifully and I wear it 60-75% of the time. It is smaller (1ct) and bezel set, so this may be part of why it’s held up well. I also take it off when cleaning, exercising, etc.
