So, I know I live in East Tennessee. I know I picked and planned a June 3rd wedding. I know I picked a ceremony time of 3pm. I know I picked an outdoor venue. I know that I have put myself in this position, but man, oh man, am I starting to worry about the HEAT.

Today is April 10th and it is 1:23pm, and already 83 degrees and climbing. I just came in from a run and I look like I jumped into a pool. It is HOT.

I am really worried that we are all going to be dying at our wedding. Especially me in my huge, structured wedding gown and my guys in their tuxedos. Oi.

Any other summer (especially Southern) brides share this growing concern????? Does it not seem even hotter this year than usual?

Oh man, I was thinking about this today.  It's so hot here today, and this is Wisconsin!! Luckily we went with an indoor ceremony, but I think during the winter I somehow forgot what summer was like, haha.  =)

Yes, I'm in the midwest too (our first warm day was today!) and I'm getting a bit worried for our outdoor July ceremony.

We are planning on doing program fans and having water/lemonade at the ceremony, hopefully will help people stay cool!

I was worried about the heat then I remembered I am getting married in Colorado and its always cold to me there! Or just plain beautiful! 70s :-D I totally lucked out! And both our ceremony and reception will be indoors anyways so guests will only have to suffer for a little bit! Most of our guests will be coming from S. FL so they should be used to the heat!

Um... yeah. I realize that Indiana weather is really up in the air, and that it will be 40 next week, but it's got me pretty worried for my late June outdoor ceremony.

The only positive to our wedding is that it's in a garden with a lot of trees. I'm praying for shade and a breeze!

I totally understand where you're coming from. My fiance picked a date of August 11, 2012 and I live in South Carolina!! I want an outside wedding but I don't really see that happening with this crazy weather. I don't know what to do!!

I am July in Central California (really, really hot....100 degrees and up). I was having an outdoor wedding but my heat concerns got so bad that I actually booked an indoor venue. I highly recommend tents/misters/big fans, anything to keep your guests cool.

Our venue has AWESOME air conditioning. I'm more concerned about people getting too cold.

My cousin had a July 5th afternoon outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in PA last year. It was in the 90s and we were all really warm but made it through the ceremony and just ducked into the venue whenever we got to warm.

That's a huge concern of mine too. I've made sure to get parasols for our guests and I've made program fans too. Hopefully that should keep everyone comfortable and happy!

South Alabama here. I'm having an August wedding and we haven't picked a venue yet. I wanted an outdoor wedding for the longest time, but I doubt I'd be able to stand it with an August wedding. Here in the south we have the pleasure of getting 'summer' from April until October most of the time. I do feel that it's warming up a bit early this year though. Hopefully I'll be able to find a nice indoor venue.

I've been to outdoor, mid afternoon, July weddings before and it's rough. We had paper fans provided though and luckily the ceremony was short and sweet and the reception was in a nice, air conditioned building.

I LOOOOOOVE the heat & humidity...which is why I picked August. Where I live a typical August day can be 34 degrees (celcius cause I'm Canadian) with the humidex. LOVE!

I'm starting to get some slack from guests, but I knew I would.

I'm MOST worried about the rain. Our venue is covered, but will be seriously cramped if everyone HAS to be indoors.

I'm very worried too!  Mine wedding will be outside in the desert in Vegas!  September could still be well in the 100's!!  I'm just praying for a least 90s that day.  We are also having the ceremony close to sunset, so by the time the sun goes down it should be bearable.

One of the many reasons why I have picked a Fall wedding.I would rather have it COLD then HOT.I mean,I have picked the dress that I will be getting married in and I was HOT in it.With the dress and all thats underneath it,I was HOT.And that was in June.So I am so glad Im getting married in October!I want ot COLD.I HATE IT HOT!!

Plus if its HOT in the hall I will even ask for them to turn down the temp for me,even if others are fine.Y?Because being HOT in a wedding dress is sooo miserable!I

I hope it all works out for u summer brides!!!!

I just remembered something. My coworker told me that having a wedding in October is tricky too.She says she remembers having hot days and snowy days throughout the years in early October. So my wedding might be a toss up too.Though everything is inside.
