He's got some beautiful images! My only concern in recommending him would be whether or not he has full weddings to show you. If not, he still could be a great photographer! If so, and his full weddings aren't very impressive, then you have a better idea of what to expect. If so, and his full weddings are equally impressive, then you have found yourself a great photographer :)

he actually was michael norwood's (my wedding photographer's) second shooter at my wedding. he was wonderful to work with and got some really great shots for us.
We looked at Travis for our wedding. Sadly he was already booked for our date.
He definately has full weddings to show potential clients. Not sure why anyone would think he wouldn't.
He was super cool, did great work and was one of the most professional photographers we spoke with.
i recently booked travis, but before booking with him I asked him for samples of the entire set of proofs he had for some of the weddings he shot in the past, as well as references. he was happy to provide all these things, and was very responsive via email. I was surprised by how helpful and responsive his references were, they just raved about travis. one of them even sent me an album of the engagement shots travis did for her. i have not done any shoots with travis yet, but from my contact with him so far he has been very responsive and i am sure if you asked him, he would be willing to provide you with the information you need to make a decision.
My problem is that he has some good pictures, and not a single gallery up on his website. How can you try and charge so much if you do not even have galleries on your own website. I am scared of that type of photographer. One thing I look for is a well made and complete website. It does not matter what they can show me in proofs. It is easy to be a second shooter and have someone else process your pics. Where is your own work on your own site though? Just a thought. I do like some of his pics though!
Travis did my family photos and has done some of my families weddings. AMAZING is not even enough to describe the entire experience and the photos!!!
Not sure about the website gallery deal misspants is talking about. I do know that I watch his blog periodically and he probably has over 100 photo's in there. I would consider this a gallery and I bet a simple email would yield you more photos than you could ever imagine.
I've DJ'ed for years and have seen MANY photographers and their work. Anyone can take a picture but only certain people can capture the essence of someone. Travis does that. You don't just look at his photos... you can FEEL them!!! You can feel the laughter, the joy, the heartfelt tears from the father of the bride... everything!
While he is amazingly talented, he is also very humble and genuinely excited about each person. He was just doing a small family shoot for me but he treated it like the most important day of his career. We received far more than we expected out of the photos and can't wait to hire him again.
WARNING!!!! Do not call Travis as he has magical powers that make you instantly like him and LOVE his work... I swear he put's something in the coffee! (Just kidding... when you meet him you will know EXACTLY why he worth every penny!!)
PS: I would venture to guess that misspants is a photographer with a very complete website... and very few customers! I would imagine if Travis were not so sought after he might have plenty of time to create all kinds of galleries. So for the openly obvious bias...

I looked at the pictures on Travis Hoehne's blog and love his style. Has anyone worked with him before? Does anyone have online wedding photos done by him that they would be willing to share? I'd love to get any feedback that you guys have to offer! Thanks!
