I booked mine during the fall. The place grows the flowers for you and everything is sustainable so it works differently than the traditional florist. They needed to know my colors and any special flower requests so everything would be planted.

I just booked mine a couple weeks ago.  I guess peonys are out of season in Mass after June too because the florist said they cost way too much to even think about getting 🙁

I just booked my florist last week, we are using a local grocery store as we only need bouquets and bouts (no floral centerieces)

If peonies are too far ot of your price range, try checking out cabbage roses. They are fuller than traditional roses and have a lot of layers going on.

@pink_sherbert:  I feel you on the peony thing, I have known that I couldn’t have peonies sincethis past winter and I am still annoyed about it!  (I was watching something this week where, I think at a celeb wedding the bride had to settle on peonies because whatever she wanted wasn’t in season.  I was like, how horrible is it when you have to settle with peonies!?!)

(I am planning on using white roses and white dahlias in my bouquet)
