Just wondering if anyones SO is currently deployed?
DH is gone, has been for almost 10 months now. He gets R&R next month. Then will finally be home in July.
Its been a rough one. We had our Daughter 3 weeks before he left. I know im ready for him to come home.
So anyone else in the “solo” boat? If so how are you all doing?

@KT_Williams: Hi! My DH is currently deployed as well. Congrats on your precious daughter! I know that must be really hard even thought I don’t currently have kids, I have plenty of friends with kids and have heard about the challenges 2 parents face, which I’m sure is extra-hard for one. That is on top of what we all experinece in deployment, which seems to be kind of a sisterhood among milspouses. My DH has been gone for several months and is due back in a few months. This is my first deployment and it has been pretty difficult for me. The worst part for me is when too long goes by without an email…or that one time I missed a call….bad new bears.
ETA- I typed SO at first, oops– we have not been married that long! only a few weeks before he deployed!! I’m still getting used to my new name and signature

Well, I cant say deployments get any easier. They dont. You learn to better deal with them but thats about it.
DH and I have been married a few years now and I was also prior Active duty.
Its really hard when you miss a call. Its the worst feeling. : (
I think it took me forever it felt to get use to my new signature. LOL I felt I always had to “think” about it a little hard to make sure I put the rigth name down or gave the right name when asked. Hahaha it takes a bit….now I have to do that with my Birthday…when asked my date of Birth I have to make sure I give the right year. My Daughter was born on my Birthday so with appointments and stuff when I have to give her date of birth is so close to mine…I have said the wrong year before because I am so use to saying mine which is the same month and day. LOL

My SO is also deployed right now. I’m just starting to plan a wedding now – alone, because he can’t help for obvious reasons. And the wedding will be in a different state so it’s more difficult at this time

My husband is deployed, too. He doesn’t have traditional deployments, though.
