I really like the pink BM dresses at the top of this one and the flowers at the bottom anyone know what those flowers are called? LOL

They look like cymbidium orchids...I love the photo in the middle of the inspiration board.
If you go with stargazers ....... they have an odd trait. They smell like Hot Dogs. Seriously. It's not super strong.

My advice for a beach wedding is be very careful of the date you choose, especially if its in FL. Your relatives should be able to help you out with that. We went to a FL beach wedding in July and it was HOT HOT HOT, and HUMID. And it was actually one of the cooler day we were there. So be aware it will make everyone very uncomfortable to be outside when its so hot and sticky.
Maybe the beginning of Spring? Your aunt would have better advice on weather stuff.
@NicLoop that was a BIG concern.. I wanted where it was actually where it was still warm enough to swim but not the hottest time of the year. And we thought of havin the ceremony at sunset, so the sun is going down. My mom and I thought maybe 10-1-10.
i think thats sounds like a good idea! and ya'll could go to disneyworld for the honeymoon!!
I'm having a beach wedding in May! My aunt and cousin are well-known wedding planners in the Destin area, so they are going to help me! So far this is what we have planned:
ceremony on the beach at 5 pm (my aunt said not earlier bc it will be too hot!), we will have white benches for guests to sit on & white urns with grasses as the "alter," an acoustic guitarist playing, and my 13 yr old cousin driving the gparents to the site in a golf cart! I have a lace dress and will carry a bouquet of white peonies with a hasta collar (oh! and a flower in my hair!) and my sister (MOH) is the only one standing up for me.... she will be wearing a super cute navy halter dress from JCrew and will carry a bouquet of white ranaculus (sp?). My FH and his best man will wear a white Tommy Bahama long slvd shirt and kahkis - and all of us will be in barefeet!
the reception is a few minutes away at a lake-side pavilion with a pool - SO EXCITED! cocktail hour and dancing will be by the pool with dinner inside the pavilion. LOTS of candles!
the afterparty is at a bar just down the street that is open until 2. unfortunately in that area the outdoor music has to end by 10pm! Boo!
and YES... we are heading straight to Key West for the honeymoon!

We're having a beach wedding too! Our ceremony will be on the beach in Hilton Head. (this photo is someone's ceremony there).
The reception is also outdoors, this deck space is in the dunes right off the beach. These are actually the house centerpieces that we plan to use. They also have glass hurricane vases with candles that we will be using either on some tables, or on the bar and at the buffet, or something.

And my bridesmaids will be wearing these dresses from Coren Moore, in this color but with a white sash as well:
For decor, we're doing mostly lighting. FI is going to string raw bulbs over the uncovered deck area, which is where the dining tables and dance floor will be. There is a covered part, with a bar, where we will hopefully hang china balls in varying shades of blues, aqua, and white.

what part of FL are you looking into? I understand you would like to avoid the heat, but please understand that in the late afternoons, we have showers! So you might avoid the heat but catch some rain and humidity. Last summer it rained almost everyday at 5pm (cuz that's when I got off work so I caught it...)
As long as you are not having the cemermony between the hours of 11-3 pm, I think you will miss most of the HOT HOT HOTness. I would also recommend not getting married Jun-Aug because it's usually the hottest months. But, keep in mind, it does get chilly during the Nov-Feb months. With the wind, it makes it heavy sweater and could make some of your guests uncomfortable. Esp in Northern FL.
Also Oct is right in the middle of hurricane season which usually runs Aug-Nov and in my few years, most of our tropical storms/hurricanes have hit in aug-oct.
We're getting married in May which is my favorite month :D.

Ok...So my FI and I have been discussing a new idea of possibly getting married in Florida where my aunt and cousins live in Vero Beach. I thought I really had my mind set on a cute lil country chapel but 2 of my cousins have already gotten married there years past. (Its affordable and cute) But... I kind thought maybe doing something completly different than anyone on either side of our families and gettin married on the beach!! And then having a reception back home in Kentucky when we return.
So.. Im asking for any ideas, advice, pictures, any experiences of having a beach wedding etc.

P.S. I thought that if we are in Florida already we can make a honeymoon out of it!!
