I went to a wedding in March that just had dancing post-dinner. It was a blast!
We didn't have dancing or a photo booth and our guests still had a great time just socializing if that helps. I don't really dance a lot either but I tend to find myself having a great time as long as I have people to socialize with as well.
PEOPLE WILL NOT GET BORED!
everyone will be socializing... and if you have a bar, i am sure that will keep people occupied too.
we just had dinner and dancing. our reception was at a museum though, and so people took some time to wonder around and look at the exhibits.
Most of the weddings I've coordinated were only dinner followed by dancing - and everyone had a blast!
We will have our first dance as soon as we go into the dinner reception from cocktail hour, then if we have any toasts they will happen there. We'll do dinner after that, then cake cutting once most of the tables have been cleared, parent dances... then party time :)
Date twin! :)
I was also trying to think of some other options for things to do incase everyone decides not to dance. If it were up to me alone, I would want to rent a big screen and play rockband, haha but my fiance and I am sure a few others wouldn't agree. We both love videogames, though so I thought it might be fun to have an option. If I had the money I'd love to have rented some arcade games.
I saw some cute photobooths at a bridal expo I went to, but the prices were outrageous !
im loving photovooths too but thinking about doing a fauxtobooth. Can't add a pic because I'm on my iPhone but I've seen tons of cute backgrounds & even a huge board w picture frames that you can pose in- ask a friend/cousin/younger sibling to man the booth for a while and voila! :)

Hi Bees!
I need your advice (or perhaps just your reassurance). We are having approx. 3 hours of dancing and dessert (give or take 30 minutes depending on dinner). Will people get bored with just dancing and no other activity? Recent weddings we went to had photobooths or broke up dancing between courses so that you didn't get sick of dancing non-stop. We can't break up our meal and photoboots are so expensive - any other ideas or is just dancing enough?
