For my second wedding I’m leaning towards the idea of a colouful dress. I don’t have any pics yet as I haven’t started looking.

Best wishes with your dress search though.

One of the dresses I’m looking at is “champagne” coloured… 🙂

If I had the guts I would wear a dress like this…I love it so much

You think that’s gutsy… here’s my dream gown — if I can find it in a store, it will be my wedding dress!

@Bebealways:  That is one “statement” of a dress…I love it. Where on earth would you find something like that though?

I think these are Quniceacera dresses, most of the major designers carry them under that heading, I think some of them would make awesome wedding dresses

What about a blush colored dress? You can still find them in wedding dress shops so they still look very bridal!

@dressme3:  I know that the one that roguefishfood posted is a quinceara dress and I’ve seen it used as a wedding dress. The pictures were gorgeous!

Mine however was originally designed as a wedding dress by a Japanese designer. Brides in Japan usually have two dresses…a traditional one for the ceremony and a coloured wedding gown for the reception (at least this is how it was explained to me). I did look at quinceara dresses but none of them were what I was looking for and none of them had a train.

@rockstar_monkey:  Once it starts taking shape I plan on starting a thread on here showing how it was made.

Of course I can’t find a picture of it now, but Vera Wang makes an amazing green dress that I strongly considered for a while.
