if i am not mistaken there are designers which are carried pretty much everywhere. after six comes to mind, maybe you could do a quick search on the designers website to ensure that there are shops that carry that designer in each city you have a bridesmaid in?

Just search for the designer you like, go to the website and see if the store is avaiable for your BMs to go to.  If your worried about the dresses being from the same color swatch you should just order them all together and the same time after they get a fitting or get sized.

In fact, today I went to Nordstrom to try on a BM dress to see if it was true to size.  Its on sale ($65) online.  So I went to the store and then ordered them online (they didnt carry the color I wanted in the store).  If they don’t work out you can always return them to the store (and right now if you spend over $200 @ nordstrom online its FREE SHIPPING).  Thats another idea, check dept stores & their online stores.

I second J.Crew!  They have a ton of stores everywhere, great online selection, and a bridal consultant to help organize the dress selection.

Watters and WToo — you can get the dresses online and you can check to see if they have stores in your BMs’ area.

Good luck!

I say go with j.crew.  The dresses are so pretty and stylish.  Also, I believe Ann Taylor is doing bridesmaids wear as well.

I got my BM dresses at Alfred Angelo – they are nationwide as well.  I found the color selection, designs and quality to be much better than DB in my opinion.  I also like the JCrew dresses and Nordstroms has a great selection of bridal party dresses as well.

My maids live in different states and all got our dresses from nordstrom.com. They have a wonderful return policy too.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding with BMs from all across the country as well and we actually went with http://www.bridalonlinestore.com/ and it was actually a very smooth process!  The prices are comparable to DB and such, and it was fast and easy for all of us to receive our dresses and have them ready to travel to her wedding.

I would also suggest Alfred Angelo…they seem to have a good presence everywhere I needed them to be.  We ended up not selecting an Alfred Angelo BM dress, but it was easier to shop when everyone had a local store that they could go to.
