@Gemstone: Thanks! That's a great list!
@yrret107: There have been so many posts lately about how much the hive doesn't enjoy cleaning...I thought it might be helpful. :)
I still don't think I can handle that much, just reading deep clean kitchen makes me want to run away!
@MissAsB: Hahaha! Certainly wasn't trying to scare anyone away. And I'm sure you can make your own definition of what it means to "deep clean." ;)
I think I am a clean-aholic after reading this. I do half of that list almost every day. Can anyone say OCD much haha?
@ Mrs.chubbybunny-me too! If I cleaned my house on this schedule my house would always be a disaster! BUT I have 2 kids and 2 dogs. If I were single, it would be ALOT easier.
I knew this sounded too good to be true! There's no way I could clean all the bathrooms in our house in 20 minutes. Also... 10 days in between surface cleaning the kitchen?!?! EWW! I clean our kitchen at least every 2-3 days. Also I vacuum incessantly.
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: I think I must be OCD too!
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Me too. And if I only cleaned my bathroom once every 30 days it would seriously be a giant, hairy mess. eww
Hah! You ladies are making some good points. I'm guessing the guide is for those a little more cleaning-phobic. I definitely clean more often than the guide says, but I do like how it breaks up different areas of your home into different days. Just reminds me that I don't have to clean our whole apartment floor-to-ceiling in one day. :)
I already do this on my own (more often though), but thank you for sharing. =) I do wish I had a washer and dryer though. It'd make life so much simpler. It's the only thing I truly put off.
Thanks for posting the link. Very interesting. I definitely like the idea of breaking things up into manageable tasks. But I agree that certain things in the post are problematic, depending on what areas of your house need the most attention. I am always picking up the living room, because the clutter piles up daily.
Like I don't have enough laundry to "do a bit each day". I seperate my clothes (dark, color, white, towels) and it takes about a week for a full load of any of these.
I'm guilty of not doing the dishes after every meal. I put dishes in the dishwasher every day, but washing the pots.pans by hand tends to be an every second day task. After work, I feel like I never get time to do anything once I cook, eat and clean up our dishes. So sometimes I let it stack up and tackle another project like going through the mail or getting groceries.
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Me too lol
I really need to do most of this stuff more often....this list would make me crazy, but it would be great for FH....lol

I follow Apartment Therapy on Twitter, and today they posted an article that I really loved. It lays out a plan for how you can get your home clean in a month (30 days) for about 20 minutes a day.

I'm really excited to try the plan because it makes cleaning my home seem really do-able for a very small amount of time a day. I don't know about you, but usually, I just don't feel like spending a whole day cleaning. So if this works, it may be the perfect solution!
Of course, I know that when I tell my husband about this "plan," he's going to think his wife has gone a little crazy, haha. :)
What do you think?
