These are our RSVP cards. Our friends have told us they feel too much pressure to be funny or else they would have sent back our response cards already.
I didn’t think this would cause stress, I thought they would be fun.
We printed 2 versions, one for couples and one for singles so there would be no confusion as to who is invited.

Pressure ? I would have enjoyed filling in this kind of RSVP for a friend’s wedding, even if it was not the most hilarious thing I could have written. People need to grow some self-esteem. 😛

@ajillity81: Just tell them there’s no pressure, they’re meant to be fun!

Actually I’d find it a bit annoying, like I’ve got to play Mad Libs just to get my RSVP in. Something a little more straightforward might be more suitable. you can always put the fun stuff about what bands guests want to hear and what they think of you as a couple, on your wedding website if you have one, where people can join in or abstain as they choose.

@NauticalDisaster: or maybe it’s just their excuse on why they are procrastinating.
we did receive a some text messages that they were the “best response card ever!”

@Horseradish: +1 sorry op I would be annoyed if got something like this.

@Horseradish: we received many that just had their name and food choice. so there is no pressure from us to fill out or not.
but for our friends that want to play along, they feel the pressure to have the funniest response.
we’ve received some good ones, some not so good ones, and some blank ones. we’ve had fun reading them all.

I’m with you two…..I’m sure it would be fun for a lot of other people tho!

@Sassygrn: there is no pressue from us to fill it out. we received some that just had the person’s name and their food choice.
or the NO’s, just wrote their name and will not attend.

Ok, as someone who has already been through their weddding, I am going to say this:
People are already going to suck at RSVPing. You will be hunting people down for a response that is clear and, you know, actually mailed back – even with a simple RSVP card.
Your RSVP card creates an even bigger barrier to people being clear about who is attending, and actually mailing it back. I wouldn’t do this based on the fact that I really, really think this is going to make your life harder.

@ajillity81: I love it! It’s a very creative take on the usual chicken, beef, veggie card!

Womp womp. Some people are no fun. I would enjoy filling these out, and I certainly wouldn’t feel “pressure” to be hilarious. It would only take a minute.

I feel like it would be easy enough to just fill in very literally if people did not want to try and be funny.
I think it’s a cute idea! Sorry you’re having issues getting them back. I would just reassure everyone that they can fill them out however they want (funny/not/or just Yes or No) and send them back to you soon!

I would be annoyed. although some people would be happy to partake, not everyone would, I’m not one of those people. I just want to respond yes or no and my food choice.

@ajillity81: you know…this actually makes me a little nervous to look at,like I didn’t study for it…..
