Hi Bees! I’m currently recovering from having my appendix out and am curious if anyone has experienced appendicitus and pregnancy (not at the same time).
How does it compare? I can’t help but feel that the two must have some similarities. For example, I can’t bend down, carry anything, and am waddling everywhere.
What do you think?

I would think any ailment affecting your stomach would be similar to some pregnancy symptoms? I’m not sure I understand the question.

I am looking forward to a time when women stop regarding pregnancy as an illness. Your symptoms sound a bit like someone recovering from a c-section, but that’s about it.

@CMSnails: Well, I have not delivered yet, so I can’t really say- I am 15 weeks tomorrow, but when my appendix got infected and was leaking it was nightmare. Nothing about pregnancy so far is on that level.
With my appendix I was VIOLENTLY ABOUT TO DIE ILLER THAN ILL. I mean, it was like having the flu times 10080498230498130480294823048203489038940384!!! I got so sick, the sickest I of my life. Pregnancy has its discomforts but is nothing like that!
I think the pain of delivery might be greater, but so much more joyful, right? My appendix happened with no warning and I felt depressed, pregnancy gives you lots of time to get ready!

@Ellegee: Hi Ellegee. I didn’t mean to imply that pregnancy is an illness. I was simply curious if the two felt anything alike. I know that some women have pretty rough pregnancies (develop diabetes, high blood pressure, suffer morning sickness etc) and many experience discomfort in their third trimester hence my question.
