Take out the quiche and sub with Hawiaan Pizza Bites. Pizza is our favorite food so we had that passed around and the wedding party got scallops wrapped in bacon in addition to the rest!
Hey! We plan on doing the exact same thing, but I haven't finalized the menu yet. I will certainly post when we get around to it.
We are using a company called Catering Unlimited (in Nova Scotia, Canada) and they had a great list to choose from. I will share the link to that list with you - there were LOTS of suggested appies on there.

Good luck!
One thing we loved about a friend's wedding was the "soup shooter" station - 3 different soups served in shot glasses.
I always love the idea of soup shooters, but everythime i've had them they're luke warm and kind of stiffen. Granted i've only had lobster bisque and butternut squash. How did your friend's caterer make sure it was nice an hot for all the guest?
you should probably talk to your caterer. there really isnt much point giving them a list of the items you want if they dont actually make them. ask them for a list of the apps they make and choose from those.
talk with your caterer and see what they recommend. Here is a list from our caterer:
Baked Brie with Melba Sauce
Mini Maryland Crab Cakes
Spinach and Feta Filo Cups
Gourmet Pizza
with Prosciutto, Basil, Tomato and Mozzarella Cheese
Fresh Tomato Bruschetta
Roasted Sirloin of Beef Crustinis
with Horseradish Cream Sauce
Stuffed Mushroom with Apple and Sausage Duxcelle
Scallops wrapped in Bacon
Bacon Wrapped BBQ Shrimp
Shrimp Cocktail with Traditional Sauce
Fried Calamari with Marinara
Scampi Station
Mussels, Littleneck Clams and Shrimp, sautéed to order with Garlic, White Wine, Lemon and served with grilled Garlic Baguette. Sautéed to Order in your event room.
Pasta Station
Three Pastas, Three Sauces, Grilled Vegetables, Fresh Greens, Diced Tomato, Cannellini Beans, Parmesan Cheese, and Traditional Spices and ingredients.
Grazing Table
International and Domestic Cheese
Fresh Fruit
Fresh Vegetable Crudités with Dips
We're doing a heavy hors d'ouvres reception too! We're having 4 "stations" featuring foods from different countries we've visited while we've been together. :)
Greek
Italian
Asian
Caribbean
Dessert Bar (around 20 of each of these)
Hope this helps!

Hi bees! We are planning on doing a heavy appetizer reception, but I need some suggestions on appetizers.
Will anybody show me their menus?
Thanks :)
