I know processing times vary but if you applied for your passport at the same time as someone else, did they come together or separately? How long after receiving the first did you get the other(s)?
FI’s been driving me crazy, saying things like “I’m a world traveler now! You can’t even leave the country.” in one of those really annoying teasing type voices. Dude, your pages are blank! lol

I don’t know. Mine, my fiances, and my sons all came in at the same time. I heard if they don’t contact you its a good sign, so hopefully you get it soon.
As for your fiance, that would annoy me too. But on the other hand, I would probably be just like him! haha

Did either one of you have a passport already? I would think if you were just getting your passport renewed that it would be processed faster than someone who never had one before because they already have most of your info already. *shrugs* Maybe?

We both renewed our passports last year. He got his before i got mine.
Different countries, different systems, same predictable result. No two pieces of paper are going to travel through bureaucracy at the same speed.
You still have lots of time.

@ttn133: Nope, first time for both.
He just got his on Thursday and it was way ahead of schedule anyway. We were told 4-6 weeks and we just applied a little over 2 weeks ago.

@UpstateCait: so if he just got it on Thursday and it was way ahead of schedule, you really do have nothing to be concerned about.

My fiance and I applied on the same day, and he got his a week or so ahead of mine. No worries!

We both applied for our first passports together. When we got them back-about 10 days apart- mine was processed at the Charleston Passport Center, my husbands was processed at the San Francisco Passport Center. We applied in CA so it’s kind of weird mine was processed in Charleston! You will have to read where yours were processed when you get them both back!

Mine took over 8 weeks. Because they didn’t think I was a real person. I had to give them a copy of my high school transcript, a page out of the paper mentioning me in it (what?) a copy of my hs year book, and like 6 more things. It was the most ridiculous thing ever.

yah, my ex and i applied at the same time and received them about two weeks apart. we both lived in san francisco but his went through minneapolis and mine through houston. depends where you were born i think.

My friend and I ordered ours at the same time and she got hers a week before mine. But her last name comes before mine, so not sure if that has anything to do with it. Don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to get it before you cruise away!

Well with a name like “Gogo Giraffes,” can you blame them? 😀

Update: Got my passport today, 6 days after Fiance got his. Not too bad considering we’re just shy of 4 weeks since applying.
Bermuda, here we come!
