I HATED those things! I know DH’s company weeds out like 75% of their applicants based on the questionaires!

You’re right, those things are annoying! I have been helping my SO apply for jobs, and I do some applications while he does others. It’s so annoying especially when they just reword a question fifty different ways to see if you answer differently!

@ToTheRiot:  So does my SO, and I am about there with you as well! My SO is looking into a lot of retail kind of jobs, so he always gets those. I don’t run into as many.

Those things are ridiculous! When my husband got his first job out of college he applied (or started to apply) at the company he evenetually got the job at 3 times and had to take one of those tests each time. They took over an hour, ugh.

Ughh I’ve been applying for jobs for 6 months.  And I have a master’s degree! Job apps suck. Those questionairres sound horrible!! I get pissed enough just at having to write/type out my whole job history etc on applications when all the freakin’ info is on my resume that’s attached!!!!!

I submit so many apps or resumes/cover letters and just hear absolutely nothing back.  Makes me wonder what’s wrong with me 🙁 But I think it’s more just the lack of jobs/high number of applicants.

You know, I filled out one of those to be a bank teller right before I got my current job 3 years ago and got a call. I don’t know, that particular one wasn’t so bad.

My mantra when filling them was “You have never stolen a pen from work! You have never stolen a pen from work!”

I am always honest on them but yeah… they’re annoying as anything.

I have a feeling that’s why I got denied for one too, I answered (10 different times) that I wasn’t interested in seeking a promotion because it was a seasonal cashier position Undecided I guess you have to lie

Grr I hate filling out a job applications. I been filling them out for so long now that I lose track of what job I applied for and which ones I haven’t. The main part is that I only get called back for like 1/8th of the jobs that I apply for which is making me very anxious. I seriously hope something show up soon.

@loving_life:  ohhh. I always get so worried when I see people with master’s degrees say they can’t find work. It makes me question whether I should go to grad school or not lol.

Nothing drives me crazier than when they ask you to upload your resume and THEN make you type in every single thing thats on the resume! What’s the point? UGH.

Good luck with the job search!
