@Laurenplusalex:  That’s awesome! There aren’t enough people who are willing to take on that kind of responsibility and advocate for the most vulnerable. I hope it all works out and you get to make a difference!

My cousin does that!  She loves it.  She’s so good at it too, she’s been able to help so many people & familes.  I’m sure with your background you’ll be a shoe in.  Good Luck

@Laurenplusalex:  Awesome! I work at a non-profit that evaluates and works with court-involved children and it’s always great when the child has someone who really cares and understands the system on their side. I’ve thought about doing that in the past, but never got it together – I hope it goes well!

@Laurenplusalex:

I’m glad you’re getting able to do something you’re passionate about! It sounds like a great position to hold, but I’m not really familiar. What does it entail?

@Laurenplusalex:

That sounds very meaningful. You could truly help to change a child’s life! I do understand your hesitation based on the history of depression, but if you’ve done well in the field previously I would think you would be fine! My only question is, did you have depression before becoming involved in the field, or could your previous experience have contributed?
