I’m a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding. We havent known each other for an extraordinary amount of time, but we’ve become really close.
I’ve spent about $200 on gifts for her bridal shower, but I’m not sure about an appropriate amount to give as a wedding gift.
I would buy a gift from the registery but my friend and her fiance live together and do not really need housewares. I think a monetary gift would be more helpful to them, but I HELP!!! I dont know how much!!
Thanks for any advice!!!

Hmm. I think it’s best to just give what you can afford if you’re set on giving a monetary gift. It certainly doesn’t have to be an exuberant amount.
Did they register for anything that isn’t housewares, etc.? Maybe a gift card to the store where they registered?

It’s always hard to put a monetary # on things like this. As a bride-to-be, I consider my own bridesmaids and all "pre-wedding" spending they do (and will do). Things like the BM dress, the shoes, the bachelorette party, the bridal shower– I know all those things add up! So, I wouldn’t expect anything extravagent from them as a wedding gift (not that I expect anything extravagent from anyone really).
Why not get them something off their registry? It’s stuff that they want, right? That way, you’re not really putting an obvious dollar amount on their gift (like with gift cards).
