So, bees, I’ve discovered that my wardrobe consists almost entirely of jeans and t-shirts, work clothes, and evening dresses. Very little that is "in-between" appropriate. I need an outfit for my bridal tea party (thrown by sister and godmother) and a wedding next w/e. The tea party is in the day time, but a pretty fancy venue. The wedding is at 2PM in a church followed by reception at home.
The shirt is a total, total splurge using store credit from a gift I could not use (but the gift itself was extravagant–my brother is awesome, so I feel it keeps with the intention). I’m in love with these shoes and while I got a good deal they are still a frivolous purchase. I’m trying to find a justification to keep them 🙂 (And please disregard the fact that my leg waxing is tonight.)
Is this appropriate to wear to either/both?

Personally, I love it for both! That top is stunning. ANd those shoes…wow.

Ohhh I love it! At first I wasn’t sure about the shoes (in the first picture) so I’m glad you showed the close up. VERY nice!

I think the outfit is awesome! It is appropriate for both events and you will look hot!

I think it’s fine for the wedding. Personally, I would not wear this to the tea party. Teas are pretty traditional and conservative, and the neckline of the blouse is a bit flashy IMO.

Thanks gals…you’ve totally justified the shoes for me, I love it!! Everything else is so stressful, I guess the shoes can be my reward 🙂

I love the shoes. But personally I’m not crazy about the rest of the outfit for the two events you mentioned. I like the top on it’s own but I don’t really think it goes with the skirt nor do I think it’s really appropriate for the two events. Why not try a summery dress?
