    Poll:

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

What was your first baby purchase?

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

What are you most insecure about?

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke:

    I'll start :)

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

Team Green!  Due April 4th :)

What was your first baby purchase?

Toys'R'Us was having a moving sale, so DH & I bought a few stuffed animals- a teddy bear, a meerkat, and a few of our favorite books from childhood.

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

YES!!!  Finally- I had been feeling little thumps & bumps for a while, but it was wonderful when he was able to feel them too

What are you most insecure about?

Being a good mom.  I know my body will not be the same, and I'm strangely ok with that.  I'm more worried that I won't be as good a parent as MrDane will be.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Feeling movement, seeing the baby on the ultrasound, MrDane reading a baby book to my belly :)

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

Cranberry sauce from a can (yes, the jelly kind!), Gram's turkey and sweet potato casserole, MIL's mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce, driving around and looking at Christmas lights while sipping on hot chocolate.

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke:

What does a ninja drink?   ...WHA-TAH!

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it: April 11th and Team Green

What was your first baby purchase? Cloth diapers

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner? Yes and yes! This baby is a wiggle worm! I even SAW movement last weekend

What are you most insecure about? Being a good mom/raising a productive member of society

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?: When Mr. Aardvark talks to my belly

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?: Seeing family that live far away.

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke: How do you make a kleenex dance? ..........Put a little boogie in it.

Has anyone else noticed they are now pregnant in their dreams? I have been having SUPER wierd, vivid dreams (which I guess is par for the course) but for the last week or so I have been consistantly pregnant in these dreams, where as before, if I was, I never thought about it at all/it did not play a roll in the dream....

    I"ll play!

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

    Boy!  Due April 13

What was your first baby purchase?

Ummmmm....You know, I don't remember.  Maybe a San Diego Chargers "tailgating" pack - a bib, a bottle, and a paci - after we found out he's a he

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

Very little.  Just some flutters here and there.  And, I think he once kicked my dog in the head when she was resting it on my belly.  The hubs definitely hasn't been able to feel yet, a fact he's very jealous about.

What are you most insecure about?

That the hubs will be a better parent than me.  He has infinate patience and doesn't get flustered very easily.  I have zero patience and tend to get flustered very easily.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Every time we get to see baby H (name hint!!).  Seeing him grow and move is so amazing

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

FOOD!  FOOD !  FOOD!  All the food, none of the guilt!  Also, thank God for stretchy preggo pants!

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke:

I'm awful at jokes, even cheesy ones so I never remember any of the ones I'm told!

@Mrs. Aardvark:  I have never, ever heard that joke... I'll have to borrow it!  Boogie... hahahah!  As for dreams, I haven't been having too many.  I've had a few, eh-hem.... naughty dreams lately (usually involving Bradley Cooper, the entire cast of Magic Mike, or Gerard Bulter, and an occasional guest appearance by MrDane!) but nothing terribly vivid (boo hiss).

@Candy_Nee:  I don't have a great deal of patience either, I'm working on it but it certainly isn't a strength of mine.

Oh yeah, I forgot to put up my 20 week picture!

and I have a completely inappropriate, TMI type question as well...  Does anyone else feel their uterus harden and become very very firm directly after an orgasm?  It's not painful at all, just odd.  Anyway, I hope I'm not the only one, and I hope it's normal.

Due date and gender: April 11th 2013 (asked my midwife to confirm which date to go by as i had 2) Finding out the gender next monday.

What was your first baby purchase: Baby starter pack, hooded towel, sleep suits

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner: lots of movement here, Mr B has been feeling the kicks too.

What are you most insecure about: gaining weight. I have had issues with body image for a long long time and although i have overcome anorexia im still trying to embrace getting bigger.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far: Feeling baby kick properly for the first time (baby seems to like Gangnam Style, oh dear!)

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season: Spending time with my family and no having to go to work!

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke:

A pirate walks into a bar with a ship's wheel on his crotch.

Bartender says "man, that's looks uncomfortable"

Pirate says "arrgh, it's drivin' me nuts."

@DaneLady:  I have noticed it getting firm from time to time, but not necessarily post orgasm. In fact I was watching TV last night and all of the sudden it got really hard and I saw my bump get pointy (not like sharp pointy but more than it normally is) it was actually kind of uncomfortable! But then a few minutes later it was back to normal... I figured the baby was just sticking it's butt out or something....

Hey ladies!!!  Missed the Boards, but am enjoying my extended 1Year Anniversary cruise and Puerto Rico vacation!!  I was to return to the States tomorrow and have my gender/anatomy scan at 6pm, BUT I just got a call from my perinatologist and my appointment was moved to next Tuesday...oh well!!!  BDubb ( our LO) is growing, I've been having stretching/quickening aches and have a bump ;). No complaints here, but CONGRATS to everyone who has found out if they're Team PINK or BLUE!!

    My turn...

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

Due April 21st, Gender Scan 11/27

What was your first baby purchase?

Holding out until we know LO's gender...this extra week is going to be BRUTAL!!

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

Lots of twists, turns, kicks and punches :) Can't wait for DH to feel them!! YES!!!

What are you most insecure about?

The unknowns, generally...I'm a worrywart :). I know DH will be a great team but so we are trying to prepare for it ALL!!

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Feeling BDubb move in response to something, my DH talking to my belly and telling him/her how much we love him/her :$

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

Habing my parents and grands see my bump for the first time, spending cherished time with 4 generations of my family, including meeting our newest addition (he was a 9lb4oz bundle of love), being HOME and eating all of the yumminess!!

For fun, tell us a cheesey jowhen

What did the fish say when he swam into the wall?  DAM!!! lol :)

Ok, random question.  Does anyone else moan in their sleep?  It's not like a loud sex moan, but a softer moan like you'd make when you eat something delicious.  Apparently I've been doing it since I got pregnant.  Sometimes, when I'm juuuuust about to fall asleep I wake myself up with them.  DH says I do it all the time.  Has this happened to anyone else or just me?

Due date and gender: April 14th, 2013 and we are having a little lady!!!.

What was your first baby purchase: A onesie that has our last name & the family crest on the front. It was part of how I told my husband we were having a baby.

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner: None yet - whenever I think I'm feeling movement I always realize its my own heartbeat. I'm hoping this means I have a super muscly uterus that allows me to push the baby out in like 3 or less pushes. (Wishful thinking is causing me to make stuff like that up - but there has to be an upside to not feeling movement right???)

What are you most insecure about: Gaining weight - I also have had some body/size insecurities & food issues for my entire life.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far: Finding out the gender & thinking about how adorable DH will be with a little princess - she's going to have him wrapped around her tiny finger in no time!

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season: Relaxing at home for a week and seeing all of our close & extended family members.

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke: I actually don't know any cheesy jokes!!! This shocking since I teach in a middle school!!!

Hi ladies - I am sorry I haven't been around much but between Hurricane Sandy and some posting issues (for whatever reason, every time I try to post to this thread it doesn't work) I am behind on what is going on with everyone! I am trying again though so I hope this one goes through

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it: April 19th, gender TBD in 2 weeks

What was your first baby purchase? Nothing! I have a toddler, so not much to buy until we know gender.  I did buy my son a "I'm going to be a big brother" t-shirt.  Does that count?

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?   I have felt some flutters, but its a bit early for him to be feeling it

What are you most insecure about? I am most worried about having 2 kids.  Having 1 is pretty easy overall, but I feel like 2 is going to be a game changer.  OF course I was worried that 1 would be also, so hopefully I am wrong :)  But right now we feel pretty on top of things, both are able to work out, have date nights, see friends and spend time with our family.  I feel like 2 kids will make that all MUCH more difficult.  we shall see!

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far? Probably the BFP, followed by great results on our 12 weeks tests (I am AMA).  And lastly, leaving the first trimester blahs behind

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? downtime with my family

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke: have to get back to work! but ill try to think of one :)

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it: April 29 - no official word on gender yet, but we have an anatomy u/s next week.

What was your first baby purchase? A "My Daddy is an Arrogant Bastard" onesie from Stone Brewing in California

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner? No movement yet! I can't wait, every time my stomach grumbles, I pause and HOPE...but nope. Just gas.

What are you most insecure about? I don't think I have only one thing! Will I be patient enough? Can I think on my feet quickly enough to be a fun, effective parent? I know it will all be fine, but I'm a recreational worrier. :-/

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far? No one specific thing, i don't think - but I love the support and excitement from family and friends.

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? Seeing the kids in the family and their joy about Christmas - we get to experience that with our Lentil in the coming years. Also pie.

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke: Geek joke alert! What's the internal temperature of a Tauntaun? Lukewarm

One of those zip up blankets that I got cheap at Kohls.

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

Maybe? I have felt little flutters and one kick - I think :-\ My DH has not felt anything yet.

What are you most insecure about?

Seeing my sister over the holidays.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Ultrasounds, sharing our news, and soon all the shopping for baby stuff.

@DaneLady:  She lost her twin girls at 22weeks and I feel very guilty about it being so easy for me so far and it was such a hard pregnancy for her up till they were both born and passed away.  She hasn't handled me being pregnant very well.  As in I'm just going to ignore you so it can't be true.  Christmas will be the first time she will see me.

    New thread, yayyyyyy!!

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

April 22nd - and a girl! (We have our next scan on 26th Nov - I"m waiting to see if she is STILL a girl, haha.)

What was your first baby purchase?

My mum bought her a pink giraffe at 16 weeks - but my first baby purchase was the onesie I shoved down hubby's throat when I announced we were pregnant!

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

I *think* I felt my first flutter yesterday - but only one or two twinges. Nothing else concrete - and nothing for hubby, since he's still away for two more weeks.

What are you most insecure about?

Baby girl being healthy - free of abnormalities.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Seeing her grow at each ultrasound - I'm still stunned to be here. It's so surreal.

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

Relaxing, being finished with work, and hopefully popping out nice and big for family and friends to see. :)

For fun, tell us a cheesey joke:

Everyone's bumps are looking good. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. As much as I want to meet our little baby, I don't want time to fly by so fast.

I went to my family doc today, go to the OB for the first time next week. Babies heart was 132bpm, that is the lowest it has been. In the last month I've gained another 8lbs, so now I'm up about 24. Although when I look at myself I don't see it too much. My uterus is high and I'm measuring a tiny bit ahead. My doctor said that my baby must be big.

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it: Team Green, April 3

What was your first baby purchase? A few sleepers and a blanket

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner? Yes and yes. It is so amazing.

What are you most insecure about? I wouldn't say insecure, but nervous about being home alone with a newborn

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far? DH feeling the baby kick

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? Having a few days off and having one last Christmas with just me and DH. And decorating, I love putting up the tree.

Due date and gender, if I don't already have it:

April 14, We find out the gender in two days! (Nov 21)

What was your first baby purchase?

We have yet to buy anything for the baby, but one of my bffs bought us an Ohio State onesie (Go Bucks! 12 and 0!) and a card when we told her the news.

Have you felt movement yet?  Has your partner?

I have felt a few flutters and maybe a kick once or twice, Mr has not felt any movement.

What are you most insecure about?

Pregnancy acne and losing the weight after the baby is born.

What's your best pregnancy moment, so far?

Telling the family we were expecting. I am hoping that telling the family the gender will be just as exciting.

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?

Of course seeing my friends and family but also eating and sitting on the couch

@MrsApple414 inspired me to do a comparison shot...

I was a lot bigger than you guys to start with - but I realised that the difference between my first teeny pop to now is fairly big. The bottom bump of my belly went first, but the top is finally starting to catch up - it's already bypassed the boobs!

i dont know whether it was because of you guys talking yesterday about being pregnant in dreams but i had a really odd dream last night and possibly TMI!! but i was in the bath with my fiance and he wanted to be naughty in the tub and i was huge by this point in my dream and it was physically impossible so i had to reject him, then in my dream he completely broke down in tears (he never cries) and started saying im going to leave him, i dont love him and all this, i woke up IN TEARS at half 4 this morning and couldnt get back to sleep. I woke him up crying and i think he thought i had gone crazy because i kept telling him i do love him, im not going to leave him its just my tummy was too big lol

@ChocolateLime:  Oh no! You're poor fiance!  That is too funny!

So, the pregnancy hormones reared their ugly head again this morning.  I was driving into work and Brad Paisley's song "anything like me" came on and I cried my eyes out the whole way through it.  It's all about a son being just like his daddy.  I was a mess.  DH thought it was hilarious when I told him about it.

@Mrs. Jaguar: & @ChocolateLime:  what a difference in your bellies!!!  I think I'll dig out some of my previous pics :)

@ChocolateLime: & @Candy_Nee:  crazy thing about pregnancy hormones... they getcha during the day, they getcha in the middle of the night!  It's a good thing our partners all seem supporive and understanding!

Let me find some progression photos...

    Here's 12 weeks:

and 19 weeks (since of course we need a puppy appearance!):

I'll see if I can take my next photo with one of my early outfits for comparison purposes.  I thought about doing the same clothes every time, but honestly I'm lazy when it comes to laundry and we usually snap a quick photo on the way out the door to brunch :)

@DaneLady:  thats a huge difference. Your belly is a similar shape to mine, kinda pointy in the middle. why is this? is it muscle tone?

    @DaneLady:  Thanks!

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Lovely comparison photos :)

@Candy_Nee:  I've heard this song since being pregnant and I defiantly got sentimental when I heard it too!

@ChocolateLime:  I have NO clue why it's shaped that way... I would say muscle tone but I dunno.  I also have a very short torso so maybe there's just nowhere else for the baby to grow?
