So far I have a total of 42 people at my wedding and the invites went out on February 10th. We invited a little over 130. how about you?!??!
our wedding is april 2, and we sent out 80 invitations on February 10th.
we have already gotten 39 back, and they all are yes!! no no's so far.... (dang it, i was hoping for a good 30 no's).
@MissDareDevil: lol...isnt it weird that the "no's" are bittersweet? we have had 19 yes RSVP (most are plus one) and 4 "no's".
sent out the invites the first week of february
220 invites out
as of right now 80 yes and 6 no
OMG!! This makes me so nervous! My plan was to get my invites out mid-February but this has not happened. This weekend will be the one to get this done. I have nightmares that noone shows
@15happyyears: I think if you send them out by next week you will be totally fine!! its still 2 months before the wedding!
our venue doesn't hold more than 185 people, but we invited a little over 200 because we figured we would get some no's! but it's crazy we have gotten already half of them back with no no's!!!!
We're having a semi destination wedding (i.e in our hometown but most guests coming from out of town!) So we sent our invites in Mid-January. Of 80 expected people for the ceremony so far we've had 3 nos, and 61 yes's which I guess is pretty good... however we also put March 1st as our RSVP date so we're still missing almost 20 responses with only a few days left til the 'deadline'! I'm not worried yet though, our wedding isn't until April 30th and the stragglers are mostly local friends who probably don't need to plan that far in advance and also probaly assume we just know they're coming - sure would be nice if they returned their menu choices though!!
Mine were picked up by Mr (or maybe Mrs or Miss or Ms.) Mailman today! Although we had sent 5 out last week due to them not receiving a save the date and I have received 1 of those back so far! It made me happy and is now hanging on our fridge!
Our wedding is April 2 and we mailed the invites mid January since we had a lot of out of towners on the list.
Of 102 total invites, we have 47 adults and 9 children confirmed. I expect maybe 5-10 more yes's. We were hoping for around 60 for the reception, so it looks like we'll be on target. A susbstantial portion of our list was out of towners who we didn't really think would come.
I sent ours out last week, February 15. We have about 150 total invites and so far 48 YES. Uggghh...I really hope we don't get the full 150. Lol
we also have mostly out town (and out of country!) guests...so it is pretty interesting to see who is gonna make it!
Mailed out: February 14th
# of people invited: 206
# of of yes: 23
# of no: 2
So far NO ONE in my family has responded, or the bridal party, parents of the groom, or anyone else that I definitely know is coming. It's really funny because at this point I'm joking saying "I won't know anyone at the wedding!" I am thankful that people are RSVPing quickly though. I'm sure that it will dwindle down as people procrastinate and forget. I think I gave people too long of a response window. (Until April 2nd)
It sure is fun checking the mail every day! I'm like "who is going to reply today?!"
@15happyyears : I hear ya....working diligently on mine in hopes to mail them by early next week. YIKES!!!
Isn't it so much fun getting the RSVP's back?! I can't wait to get home each day to check our mail. We invited 91 and so far have gotten 43 yes and 13 no responses. We are hoping for 75 guests.
It is SOOO much fun...my rsvp envelopes are light blue so its really obvious when I open my mail box! its soooo fun!
Ours went out on Tuesday and yesterday I got a text from a work friend telling me that he got the invite. So the eagle has landed. Now I'm impatiently waiting for the RSVPs. We invited 168 'definitely to maybe' and a buch of people who already said they can't come. I'm hoping for 150!
Our invites went out the beginning of Feb. and we invited 150 people. Currently we have 75 rsvp for yes, and just 2 no's. :"]]
I figured that we would have aboit 75 people, and now we might go above that!
I sent mine out last Friday (I know I'm bad, but we only have two out of town guests). However, I won't be back in town until next Tuesday so I'm hoping there will be some waiting on me.
Sent ours out last month! Current count is 64 yes and 24 no. We invited about 230 and have a lot of out of towners...
We mailed ours in mid January. We invited 160 people. We currently have 70 yes and 23 no. We think we are going to be at about 120 at the end.
We mailed ours at the end of January. So far we have 55 yes and 16 no out of 128 invites. We're hoping to be around 100. We got a bunch of RSVPs at first, but have had days without any for a while now. It's so exciting seeing a little pink envelope in the mail though!
We sent ours out 15 January.
We invited 187 guests,so far 49 yes and 26 no. I am kinda getting anxious because the deadline is March 1st. I have to get all the head count to my caterer, order rentals and such based on who is coming. I can't do that if we don't know how many people are coming.
We sent ours out valentines day and have gotten some rsvps back and 2 gifts!!! Omg its almost here
We sent ours out sometime in early Feb.
We invited around 200 guests, with around 100 invitations going out. Right now we have around 70 coming( including us, his parents, our bridal party, my parents etc.) and 11 have declined. I think it has to do with the date though, because it is during Spring break for a lot of people so it is hard for some people to be able to show. We are waiting on a lot of his family and one side of mine. Can't wait to go look in the mail tomorrow!
We are hoping for around 125-150 guests :D
What deadline did most of you give your guests? We gave the date March 12th.
Our deadline is March 19. I don't know if this is a good comparison, but I work in survey research and I found that giving people more time to respond gives them more time to put it aside for "later" and forget about it. I am in no way comparing RSVPing to my wedding with taking some survey, but it's human nature to procrastinate. And out of sight, out of mind.
@xo_triciazach_xo: My RSVP deadline is March 19th.
We have also received two gifts!
@AprilJo2011: I think it's really true! I think I gave people too long of a response window. Doh!
I just got 2 verbal 'No's. From my side. I invited 24 that are purely from my side, we have a bunch of mutual people, but the majority of the 170+ invited people is FH's side. And mine is RSVPing no. *big sigh*
@AprilJo2011: BOO :( if it makes you feel any better FI's entire family is coming also they live locally...and all of my family is in Brazil, so most of them will not make it either :(
@Ms.Teddy: Oh Ms.Teddy, we are in the same shoes! I only have 24 because all of my family lives in Germany. My mom even told me not to invite most of them because it's too far. 7 of the 24 had already said they can't come before we even sent out the invitations! FH has 23426356 relatives and most live not more than 50 miles away.
I sent my invites out in December because we're having a destination wedding. I asked that people RSVP by Feb. 8th. The resort needed our final numbers by Feb. 11 although I'm still getting calls from people. We only recieved 8 RSVPs out of 100 invites mailed!!! Isn't that insane? I'm not sure if it's because we sent them out so well in advance or if people just thought I knew when they booked their trip, but I literally had to call almost every single guest to get their RSVP. We have 52 guests coming to Mexico with us to see us married on April 12th :)
OMG! I sent out about 70 invites like Feb 10, and I know they all recieved them within two days, but I have only had 15 RSVP, and 2 no's. I am expecting about 30 of those invites to say no - they were family, that we should send invities but won't come. Now its freaking me out, because I haven't recieved yes or no's from alot of people. I gave them March 5th as the deadline, so lets see how this works out or well we will be making a whole lotta phone calls! But yes, I get so excited when I see am email that RSVP has been recieved!
@AprilJo2011: You are right! I thought I was doing the right thing by sending the invites out 15 Jan. I also sent a save the dates and now when people call me about not booking their flights or hotel, I am kinda numb to it. I put all possible scenarios on our website. Even check flight prices every 2 weeks from all the cities majority of our guest are traveling from and put them on our websites. And people still ask me really annoying questions. If it was my grandma asking that is one thing but these are young people who are always on facebook and can navigate a freaking website. When I say I put everything on my website I mean it and I am so bummed that I did all that work and no one cares to look at it.
@15happyyears: We're date twins and I'm still not done w. sending out my invites! :/ I sent out the 1st batch last week....then some of them went out today and the rest I'm am determined to finish to go out in tomorrow (Sat. Feb 26th) mail b/c I put my RSVP date by March 11!
(Chose March 11 reply date b/c I need certain info. to tell my venue by March 30 and want some time before then to get everything finalized. Plus...I sent out S.T.D's in November ...so those we invited know they are invited even if they haven't gotten the 'official' invite yet) ;)
So..basically...you aren't alone..and I agree that if you get them done and sent out by this next week, you should be doing good! :)
(hugs!)
p.s. Of the ones I have mailed out, I haven't gotten replies yet....
Only one who replied so far is my FMIL and that's b/c I hand delivered hers! haha.
I mailed them out around Jan 20th, RSVP by March 11th.
Invited: 155
Yes: 40
No: 30
Rate of reply: 45% with 2 weeks to go.
It's just making me nervous because we have really no idea if a lot of the people who haven't RSVP'd are coming or not! We are hoping for 85 people (destination wedding for about 2/3 of guest list!)
They arrived today and I have 4 responses (OK from two invitations). We are doing and online RSVP. I suspect we will have to follow up for a lot people. They can also call me for the older people.
I hope I start getting some more RSVPs rolling in. We sent out 96 invitations on February 11th and have only gotten 10 replys so far. It is fun seeing them in the mailbox though!
We ended up sending around 222, and have 22 people left to hear from (of which 10 have the later due date of 3/12). Right now we're sitting at a count of 120 which makes me really happy (we wanted around 150)!
@Ms.Teddy: yeah it sucks!! we still sent them invites but a lot of people just cant cut the price/time required...which is totally understandable...but I still get upset about it when FI's entire family will be there and mine wont!
